That quarter size patch is going to be as big as your hand tomorrow, even if you spray with bleach it's not going to stop. It's easier to clean up now before it runs rampant.

I usually harvest whats there and pitch. If you have a totally separate building or place to quarantine you could try and let it go, but prolly not the best idea keeping sporulating trich around.... They usually don't last long anyways, once it rears it's ugly head.
Not really worth chancing spreading the spores...

You can try covering the trich with hot wax or quick setting drywall mud to slow it down. Definitely isolate it.
Stamets recommends raising the Ph of surrounding substrate to inhibit growth.

Ive nevwr been able to stall or slow it. As soon ad it hits the fruits its like they start to rot amd fall over, nasty stuff
If I see a white patch of trich the size of a dime before pins I toss it. If my fruits are almost there I isolate the tub and watch it
I can say from experience you dont want it in your house hehe

Ive tried salt, and cutting a section out. The latter made it WAY worse. The salt, I poured a Pile of wet salt on I think it just helped keep the spores in place, didnt help much either.
I had a couple tubs trich out recently, green for st pattys

I just toss it, especially if I already got a harvest. If it's a small spot anf I got fruits coming in, I may let it go a little, but not too much. It just kind of depends. If i get trich and no fruits yet, it's gone. How I evaluate when exactly to toss it also depends on what else I have going on, too. I never try to save it anymore. You have to grow your own grow man.

We're talking about it in AAW. azur and pasty explained everything about it there really well and in great detail.

ive found that h2o2, cutting it out of the sub, alcohol, and even bleach just don't work with trich or vert, what I have successfully done to slow vert down is a mix of wet salt and baking soda, never tried it but lye should work even better, but like I said it only slowed it down, didn't kill it.

I've stopped trich with H2O2. It never spread more than the size of a dime. The mycelium kept it at bay. The tray is still going strong on it's 3rd flush.

Then you probably didn't have trich, but penicillium or another blue/green mold.
There are more green mold types than just trich.
If a tub has sporulated trich, it's pretty much had fucked. It is so aggressive the mycelium will not stop it.
edit: I had a problem with trich in the past. There is nothing I have seen that is able to stop it. Peroxide, salt, heat, excising... nothing has been able to stop it.
If you see trich, you need to either totally quarantine it (like I said, not really recommended). Or throw it outside.

Yeah trich is extremely aggressive. I've had penicillium on tubs and that is easier to control, but if penicillium shows up on a tub it's probably got bacteria and uncolonized grains which will cause it to eventually get overrun with trich.
