Forget calea, and if you can get calea its probably not the real one. There is conflicting information at every corner. So let me give you a little background on my findings.

Well ever since my wife became supervisor of her department, she hasn't really slept well at all. She can fall asleep but she is up by 4 am on the phone because she can't sleep.

One day I was driving by the farmer's market and I decided to stop and see if they had some kava. Anyways, as I'm at the vitamin section a lady stops and asks if I needed any help so I tell her what I'm looking for. She shows it to me and ask if I have trouble sleeping. And I said it's for my wife and I explained a little to her about her situation. She directs me to this product.

She says it really helps her sleep and helps her anxiety. I read the label and I know they are plants but have never heard of them. I guess they are the extracts of the plants.

I did a little research and you can click on the links and it will give you a little info on each.

Helianthemum nummelarian
Clematis vitalbis
Impatiens glandulifera
Prunus cerasifera
Ornithogalum umbellatum
Aesculus hippocastanum

Back to my story, so I take them home and give them to my wife and at night she took one. She said it felt good but she still woke up and that was the end of that. She didn't want to take them no more because she still woke up.  So the next night i take one to see if maybe it will help me.

After 30 minutes my thoughts were floored. My mind just totally stops. It's like my brain just hit the brakes. I didn't really get sleepy but it definitely help with a racing mind bit I wanted to go to sleep. You see I too have trouble sleeping but when I do sleep I don't wake up. So after about an hour I was able to get out of bed. Not that I wasn't to able before but I just couldnt. It's hard to explain.

So anyways I got to the medicine cabinet for a 10mg melatonin. Melatonin always helps me sleep. So I took it and went back to bed. After a while I got sleepy, turned off the tv and layed down. This is when the magic began.

:Awemazing:

I went on a Rollercoaster ride that night. Everything from going to the moon and fighting zombies and being at walmart trying to avoid my ex-mistress. It was insane. There was times when I would open my eyes and could see the diffused light from my kids' lamps bit I couldn't move. I was in a dream state with my eyes open. I never left my body. I just stayed there in a catatonic state. As soon as I would close my eyes again I would pick up right back where I was. I was scared that time because in my dream I was in danger but I knew that if I could stay up Long enough it would pass and I would snap out of it but every time I cant. The night seemed to go on forever and every situation I was in i could yet get to the point where I could control it. It was hard.

Finally in the morning i get up and boy am I groggy. I felt like I didn't sleep at all and in reality I didn't. After a few cups of coffee I was good to go.

2 nights ago I did the same combo. That's the one where I was in outer space. Crazy trippy shit. My wife said I was like a sleeping dog dreaming. Twitching and making dog noises to boot. This stuff is tripped out people. If you ever wanted to see if you can control your dreams this combo did it for me. I'm not saying it would work for everybody but it's worth a shot to get on some next level shit.

I don't recommend you try it if you got something to do in the morning. Cause the 2 times I did it I had to wake up early to take my daughter to school.

Sounds interesting. I just looked them up, they are quite expensive here in UK. I might try them just to see what happens. I like having long and many dreams during one night.

I do have experience with lucid dreaming, and I've been getting them often recently without any lucid dreaming training.

A friend told me about some sleeping spray that can be sprayed on cushions, I am looking it up right now.

Thanks for posting this!

Ordered it as soon as I read the report, seems like exactly what I'm looking for atm. I have some Calea Z and it does help for making dreams a little more vivid, but I wake up in the morning a little groggy, and I think I might have a minor allergy to the herb... So I'll give this a shot.

Last night I took Calea Z and I had some of the more realistic dreams I've ever had, and they were totally applicable to my current situation. One scenario involved my work life.. god damnit, I forgot the other one, but it was extremely vivid when it was happening and it totally dragged on forever as well. It was honestly pretty stressful, but I've been trying to get better with turning lucid while in a vivid dream. It's harder to turn lucid in a realistic dream because everything feels so real, I guess that's why reality checks are a good technique...

Thanks for your report man. I'll give it a go.

Reality checks are not so great. I used to do reality checks in the dream and assume that I am not in a dream, then carry on dreaming.

The best technique is to start a dream diary. You will notice incredible effects within a week.

What you need to do is whilst you're in bed, before you fall asleep, summarise your day. Recall everything you've done in reverse chronology, from the moment you're doing it all the way back to the moment you woke up. Try to capture as much detail.

Then when you weke up in the morning, take a notepad/diary and record all your dreams you've had, starting from the first one, capturing as much detail as you remember.

Day after day you will remember more dreams and more detail, within 2 weeks you can go lucid easily. You can combine this with other methods, like reality checks and the native American's method of looking at the palms of your hands, ever heard of it?

And once you get a lucid dream what you need to do is in the dream interact physically with objects, best rub your hands against them. This will make you get deeper into the dream and decrease the chance of waking up suddenly. You can do this if you feel that you are waking up.

Enjoy.

A follow-up to my post here. I ordered that product and if it did anything, it made my dreams less vivid. It doesn't induce extremely vivid/bizarre dreams for me. Just thought I'd share.

I've used kava kava in several attempts to try and get a good night's sleep, and have had a very similar experience.  I dreamt so vividly throughout the night, that I felt as if I hadn't really slept at all.  I was also experiencing hot flashes that would wake me just briefly from the dream, then I would dive back in again.

I remember my dreams most of the time, so there was nothing significant about the content of the dream.  The thing that surprised me was how clearly I remembered the details the next morning, and the amount of control I had in my dreams.

Because the tea didn't have the effect that I desired, I gave the rest to my sister.  She said she experienced a very restful night of sleep, and it helped her thoughts to slow down.  My sister also said that the can't remember the last time she had a dream that she could recall the next morning.

I found it interesting that it almost the exact opposite effect on me  :trippinballs:,  than my sister:sleep:
