Dark myc (bruising) under/around stems...
    #21336998 - 02/27/15 07:12 AM (9 years, 10 months ago)

First time I,see this happening to my cakes. The cakes are bruising all over, what I believe is due to, to much moister, so I cut back on misting. Looks like dark bruising under the pins and fruits, were the stem begins. There's nothing on the stem, only on the myc. They're smelling really fresh mushroom, and the growth is good. Since the dark myc is isolated just under the stems, I don't believe its a contam.

RH around 95%, misting once a day, fanning 4-5 times a day, ambient sunlight 8h.

Anyone have an input?
Since the growth is good, and smell,is delicious, I'm not freaking out yet...

After Harvest I saw it was just lumps (because of to little consolidate time) that had dark bruising, picked it and everything's good to go for 2nd flush...

I'm a rookie but misting only once a day? Aren't you meant to mist multiple times a day until cakes are glistening according to RR?

Sadly i have no other input keen to hear what the TC;s have to say

Normally I mist 2-3 times a day, but had to cut back a little because the cakes got to moist and started bruising. I had to birth them early and therefore I fuc..d it up a bit. It grew some blobs that bruised very bad in the end of the 1st flush, just glad it wasn't a contam.
