mycobag stale?

I've had three mycobags for ~5 months that have been sitting underneath my desk. Could they have dried out/gone stale/etc? I wouldn't want to waste spores on bad mycobags.

If the verm still sticks to the sides of the bags, and the insides seem moist, they aren't too dry.
Just make sure to inoculate them neer the wall of the bag so the spores get on the plastic too.
If they stayed wrapped up, they would have a very hard time losing moisture.

they wont lose moisture, unless there is a hole in the bag. as long as they arent contamed, they should be fine.

I don't know about this. I've had bags that I made dry out after 2 or 3 months sitting in my closet. They're usually o.k. for a while, though -- I've re-inoc'ed after 2 months with no growth and got great results.
The filter-patch keeps conataminants out, but doesn't prevent water vapour from escaping. If it looks dry, chances are it's dry.
