The Koch brothers don't care about it and it was long overdue and a simple bill to pass. Enough investigation.

The pipeline is not a big part of their reasons to support less insane politicians

Yes, so Warren Buffett's $15 billion railroad stocks will produce more dividends. The oil will be shipped in regardless of a pipeline or not. A pipe line is the most efficient and statistically the safest way to ship oil. The country is spider webbed pipelines already. I hike gas pipelines all the time. The alternative is to ship by rail or by truck. Ironically many of the the opponents of the pipeline get major campaign donations from the rail industry(follow the money). My issue with the pipe line is allowing a foreign company to use eminent domain to seize private land for corporate profit. I find the complaints about the dangers of running it through the Ogallala aquifer to be half heated. They're making the argument that a spill would be devastating to the ecosystem (I don't disagree there) but the most eminent threat to the aquifer is the fact that we're running it dry due to all the water intensive crops. GMO corn for ethanol production is the biggest culprit in recent years. Not to mention all the Round Up being sprayed...

Quoted for truth. Rail cars are provably more dangerous than pipelines so its not a matter of safety. The oil will be produced and used no matter what so its not a matter of protecting the environment. Its a matter of the moron in the white house who wants to be a dictator. His time in office will be as a blocker of bills and one who sets his agenda above all else. "President no"

Maybe rail cars transporting oil is more dangerous?

Of course transporting something by rail car, or by tanker trunk, is more dangerous than piping.

By removing the "directness" of the sarcastic "attack". I understand that it was sarcasm, but others may not read it that way and take the "You ..." comments as a hateful attacks. If nothing else, at least add a /sarcasm tag for the sarcastically impaired.

So, you're kind of in favor of big polluting industries as long as they aren't foreign or steal too much private land?
