Hey guys figured i'd show my first try with oysters, i feel it's gone pretty good myself
My first bag, colonizing. I had trouble finding those bags that you guys use, the long round ones. I've since found some 50 liter bags which i think are ok. We'll see!

Did not get a picture of it when it was fully colonized, but just as i birthed it.

First good looking pins

2 days later

At 3 days now

4 days, when should i harvest? I thought i read somewhere that they should flatten out at some point and i should harvest then. But they seem to keep growing like this.

Guys coming in late today

Thanks for watching, and ofc thanks shroomery for everything!

Oh yeah shit, suppose i should detail some more. Well i followed RR's tek to pasteurize the straw, kinda just read through shitloads of threads here too obviously
About the bags uhm it's just normal plastic freezing bags, i live in Denmark you can pretty much buy them in different sizes everywhere. But usually 10-20 liters, and the shape is not too great imo
I made a greenhouse ala Violet
Just read through this guide and several others and came up with my greenhouse. I dont have a hygrometer or any of that fancy stuff, so with my first bag i am kinda testing the humidity and fae in there. Seems good so far
With the ''doors'' open

Closed

Humidifier and my shitty huge fan that i had to put in a box and drill holes cause i could not make it blow less hard

The whole thing in thar.

Different size bags and ran out of straw ;(

Jars getting ready..

Thanks for your input so you have only one normal fan and one humidifier in your gh (except for lightning)? Always wondered if this would be enough, but seems so
How do you drain the bottom of your gh? When u have high humidity some water should collect on the bottom, shouldn't it? Just using a towel every few days or isn't it that much?
And now the most important question for me - Do your gh increase the RH of the room it is in? Or does gh usually do?
The Problem is, that we have already a high humidity in your house (50-60% in my bedroom) and I don't want to increase the RH too much because I am feared of mold... That is the main reason I didn't build a gh so far

Yeah just one fan and one humidifier, i am running this one at it's lowest, so i am sure it could humidify a much larger room!
so far i have not had any water pooling, i dont believe that is supposed to happen since i will be growing oysters, they need lots of air, so i pop the door open a lot every day, and it never seems to condense in there.
Maybe when i get it filled up with bags it will condense more and start getting on the bottom, but not yet! Think a few cheap good sized plastic trays should do the job, if needed though. Like those things you use for gardening.
Yeah i think the room get's a bit humidified by the gh, i seem to need to mist less in my sgfc ever since, but what do i know
Well you could open air fruit probably? Just keep the cake in the plastic bag and slit it open sideways, and keep the plastic on as a tent kind of, then open it a few times per day for FAE.

A lot
Just threw a fine layer between each layer of straw, just enough so it seemed to be a nice fine layer of it. Not really sure how many jars.. Should have noted it down
