Duct tape coming off of holes during monotub colonization

First off, I did several searches for a resolution to my issue but I had no luck. That being said, I am not entirely sure I am posting this in the right place :3 Anyway, here goes:
I constructed a mini mono tub recently and I put it into colonization conditions 2 days ago. When constructing the tub, I made a total of six 1.5" holes (2 on long sides at bottom, 1 on short sides at top). After I spawned to bulk I covered my holes with duct tape to prevent FAE and put it away. The problem (presumably) I am having is that my duct tape keeps coming off ever so slightly, and it is almost definitely allowing more air in/out the tub than if the holes were 100% sealed.
Now, the tub obviously wasn't air tight with the lid on because of small holes around the handles which I understand to be the desired objective when using a monotub. However, I am wondering if the small gaps in my duct tape seal are allowing to much FAE for proper colonization.
I should also note that I have placed 2 extra layers of duct tape over each of the holes to try to correct the issue, but the air still finds a way out. It's not like the duct tape comes off completely or even close, it just develops small elongate bubbles which probably allow more air in/out the tub. Condensation has begun to build up in the tub, but I notice a difference in the level of condensation on the walls shortly after I re-adhere the duct tape.
Has anyone encountered this problem before? Is it actually posing a threat to my grow? What solutions would you recommend?

Stuff tight poly in all the holes and then adjust it come fruiting time.
Or get better tape lol

I use cheap duct tape too. Make a plus sign over each hole with 2 pieces.
Edit: I somehow missed reading you already do this -_- I don't have problems with 2 layers, but the simple suggestion is buy quality tape.

i never buy buy cheap duct tape just for that reason. quality is key when it comes to tryin to lock in moisture with tape. after taping a few monos with quality tape, your finger tips will get sore lol.

I suggest clear packing tape - found it's less noisy in pulling off the roll and off the tubs, it leaves no residue, and packing tape often comes with a blade attached to the roll so that if you're stoned like me you won't have to fumble around with tape not tearing cleanly.
on the hole placement: it's really easy to follow a proven tek the first time so minimal guess work needs to be done. I think your hole set up will be fine so long as it provides adequate fae (you be the judge) the myc wont know the placement of your holes

yeah it is. you ever pulled and torn duct tape 3 inches long twelve times each(two per hole ) for ten+ monotubs?
really doesn't sound like bells chiming

Thanks for all the suggestions frands!
I ended up going with Gorilla tape (thanks for the tip Algo). I removed all but the first layer of duct tape I originally put over the holes and sealed that shiz up extra tight with Gorilla tape. So far, it seems to be doing the trick. I will definitely be using Gorilla tape for my next tub setup (or at least not regular duct tape) so hopefully I won't encounter this problem again.

I recently had a headache over this very issue. The answer is simple. Use the gorilla glue brand black tape. Its the fucking goodness. And you can get it at any hardware store.
