Golden Teacher Strain Questions *with pics*

Okay, so I want to begin this post by saying that the first mushroom trip I ever experienced was on 7 grams of golden teachers fresh. I have no clue how so little got me feeling the way I did but I was having tracers and had very little inhibition. But to the point I decided to grow golden teachers again since the first time I did, I had a horrible set up. Now with an improved SGFC I would like to ask a few questions about the fruits that have managed to get growing so far.. to begin take a look at a few of these pictures.

I dont really understand why they appear this way. The veil seems to have broken yet the cap is not torn away from the stem yet. I dont know what this is in all honesty so I thought I would ask the community. Should I pick them right now? I dont think so because they appear to be far too immature at the moment. Should I wait and see if the cap begins to tear away from the stem at all? I have only a few grows under my belt right now and I have never seen this so any help is appreciated friends.

Still growing.
Are you moving them or the light around? I've had and seen fruits kinda of swirl upwards like that when the light is repositioned multiple times.

No, I dont move the light ever. The only thing I do is remove the lid to mist and fan it from time to time. I was just curious why they appear to have a veil torn already. They appeared strange to me. The only other strain ive grown fully is Ban Hua. Which I must say are definitely a strong and easy strain to grow. Thank you for letting me know they are still growing though.

Things get weird sometimes lol I think they'll be fine dude. Things like that can be chalked up to genetics most of the time. Post some pics in a few days when they're done!

Veils break easily on their own when the rH is too low. In my experience it comes out as a mix of slight bruising and veils breaking abnormally.
Maybe add more wet perlite... and/or take a pic that gives an idea of how much perlite you have in there.

What the guy above me said is pretty much on the money. I had some b+ and golden teachers do the same thing on their second flush cause I got lazy and didn't maintain humidity and fae like I normally do. The veil tore all at once and around the rim of the cap where the veil was there was green/blu bruising(not a contam!) I went back to keeping an eye on things and that seemed to do the trick. Looks fine in your pics just bump up your humidity.

I have 4-5 inches of perlite in it. I have stopped misting them as much recently because I noticed they were getting a little dark on the tops which I have read is a sign of over misting. I mist the GT's usually 3 times a day but I had been misting them more frequently. I make a point to only mist once i wake up, when I eat dinner, and when I go to sleep. During each misting I fan the cakes with the lid. The Ban Hua that I had did fine with this but the golden teachers appear to need a little bit of a different environment.

Depending on the size of that tub of course, it sounds like more perlite will help. Do you have a hygrometer? I would just add more wet perlite, it definately won't hurt.
