My grandfather, who played a big impact on shaping my personality, was a farmer turned agronomist. He certainly had a country attitude. Also worked on a Cattle Ranch for a while. Besides that, I've grown up in a big metroplex. Though it's never been hard for me to get along with rural folk. I plan to move out into the country once I'm financially stable.

We only have like four goats and do everything by hand for the food, but the largwr farms have multiple tractors and attatchments, chainsaws, fence maybe a beat up old truck, its nice too because theres a 700 acre pheasent farm that costs like 3 grand a year and another grand to get initoated, then 500 dollars for every four hours you hunt, with one of their guides, fuck that. They also raise quail, partridge and chukar. Well they were supposed to sell 40,000 birds to the state but rhe state only takes the lowestbid even though theyve been doing buissines 30 or 40 years some asshat that diesnt know how to raise healtt birds outbid them a dollar a bird. So this is the second year this happens. They disnt think hed drop a second dollar the second year. We used to go in there with pellet guns and shoot them like that on the days people werent allowed to hunt in there, sketchy but fun. Anyways they didnt have room for the birds so they released them all into there fields, and did this thing where they throw like 500 birds in the air in the middle of a circle of 50 people with shotguns, long story short our area is overfucking run by pheasant chukar hungarian partridge and quail. Fuck yes.

Deers you say? well here is how you take care of that, its called black oil sun flower seeds, then you take out the screen from your window and shoot one with a bow in the spin. it wont be able to run then you can run out there and cut the juggular. drag into the garage and butcher it up, problem solved

Solid advice right there, allthough I'd reccomended a crossbow with a laser sight and broad head. 1 shot 1 kill, sniper style.

The stories, the things that happen, i love the old habbleshack looking farms. The smell of sawdust and 2 stroke engines, clear starry nights and bright sunny days, nothing but the sound of the wind and the rain and the earth growing and living, and shrivelling and dying, only for it to happen again. Putting a pack on and knowing youll be able to walk away from home for a couple days to weeks and still survive, more than survive but actually be able to live on purpose, being alive solely to keep yourself alive, thats what i call living.

It's huge here in Texas. Ranching here is totally different from the Midwest style. I love Texas, but I prefer ranching with BLM land. Cattle can be grass fed, and in Southern Idaho you get awesome riding up in the Rockies
I wanna go back there just for the badass mountaineering.

My old man lives in Texas, we like to go down to the ranches and blast hogs, so much fun. BLM land would be cool to ranch on, wasnt there a recent story of some folks standing up to the BLM agents cause they couldnt afford to pay up grazing fees or something like that? I believe it was in Idaho.
