Sounds like things are going well in Seattle, but here in the Kent, Des Moines, and Federal Way area I havn't found anything all Fall. I did find one small patch of Baeocystis in Tacoma, but thats it.
In new to picking psylocybies, but experienced with eddibles. Is Seattle a better area to look or is this just a really poor year?

Its not that Seattle is where its at, but where more ppl are. The Cyans are popping up like crazy in Pierce County. Check out Auburn, we found lots of Cyans there.
Trust me their were psilocybes all around you. Just have to have have faith.

Thank you Pleezr! I'll take a drive down to pierce again soon!
Any hints on the best kind of locations for cyans? I know to look in alder chips, and that they can be found in lawns sometimes. But is newly laid chips best or is it better to look where the chip are older and more decomposed? Is it better to look were the chips are weed infested or clean? Or does it really matter?

Thats good news Pleezr . I know what cyans look like so Im not sure why I have been missing them.
When I found those Baeos in Tacoma I was 99% sure thats what they were before I even brought them home to do the full ID and spore print.
If you have any finds on the southend in the next week or so report back your good luck/skill!
