I hunger for classical music - please feed me...
    #2131765 - 11/24/03 04:07 AM (20 years, 4 months ago)

I'm listening to Mozart - Andante from Piano Concerto 21 now.
And i would like to hear more music that is equal to its fine beauty.
Please post some suggestions for me to hunt down.

Thank you.

Fliquid: I've personally been fond of Handel's Water Music for quite some time. There's a great F Horn part throughout, a truly beautiful instrument when played properly, and Water Music is written in a favorable range. If you want something a little more forceful, look for stuff by a Russian composer named Shostakovich. Can't remember the name of the suite (burned it off a friend's cd), but try searching for his name.

bo0: You are da' man for recommending Ave Maria. That is a beautiful piece, I especially like Yoko Kanno's version for the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack. Absolutely beautiful.

BigNerd, in most senses of the word

shostakovich's probably most famous piece is his Symphony #5.

all the suggestions thus far have been right on.. the only thing I can think to add is some Bach for classical guitar.. such as the likes of Andres Segovia
