Jumping in with both feet!

Hello, guys. I have been lurking here for months, and I just started my first grow. Feel free to tell me what I am screwing up!
I ordered (From *****) a sterilized LC, a grow bag (for insurance if I screw up), and a kit, which consists of 3 1lb bags sterilized rye berries, a bunch of pasteurized poop, and some pasteurized casing. I also ordered pasteurized straw and some rye berries covered in oyster mushroom mycellium. Yum!
I know I could have saved money doing it myself, but I wanted to make sure the stuff was sterile the first time, to have one less point of failure to review when/if I screw up. If I dig the hobby, I will buy a PC.
I ordered my syringes from ******. I got 1 Brazil, and one South American.
Now..this is where I screwed up. I am pretty sure that I inoculated the grow bag and the LC with the South American, and the three bags of berries with the Brazil. It may have been the other way around. I was nervous.
Anyway, it has been about a week. Most of the bottom of my LC is covered with a pretty white cloud..I take that is a good sign! All of the bags and berries are showing small signs of mycellium growth, smaller than a square centimeter at this point.
When the berries are fully covered, I plan to spawn them in a 60q tub with the poo and casing. Can someone send me a good link about spawning in this fashion? I have done searches for things like "Spawn to Bulk" and "monotub", but honestly I cant tell the good from the bad.
How am I doing so far?
****Edited for badness. Sorry.

Welcome to the shroomery,
First though, please edit your post and remove your mentioning a sponsor. Sponsors sell spores for study only. While I understand your anxiety on doing it yourself, you can save a lot of money doing so and it is not difficult. I suggest buying the videos "Let's Grow Mushrooms" it's $8 or $9 for the series. All the information in the videos is available on this forum for free, but the videos are well done and easy to understand. Again welcome to the shroomery.

Welcome!
Here is a set of tested teks from a TC. There are many write-ups and most consist of mainly the same basic stuff.

Grow kits are not good.
Start your own project:
mushroomvideos.com/BRF-Pf-Tek
Please don't make me detail why, just look up Grow Kits Suck and read that thread. They are not quality controlled nor should they make you sleep easy thinking you have any reassurance. When I first started I bought five premade jars to counteract my five homemade ones.
All five premade failed:

Give it a few days to grow and knead those bags get that myc as spread around those bags . So far seems like you're doing ok. But as Alwaysanoob said you could have done it cheaper DIY. Curious though why did you choose bags for your first grow?

Well, I decided to go with a all in one grow bag since it was so easy. I figured that I would go ahead and get some grain bags along with it to see how easy they grew. If it works out, I plan to start PC'ing my own grain. It didn't really seems like there was too much of a difference between grain bags and grain jars. Is there?
It isn't really a "kit" that I ordered, just a selection of various grain and substrates already sterilized. I did read that thread you mentioned, actually. I just decided to bullheadedly ignore it in favor of convenience. Thanks for the links, Fungus Mountain!

Do you know what anime your avatar is from? I feel like I've seen him somewhere.
Good luck with your convenience. This hobby rewards patience and hard work.

The Smiling Bandit was one of the setting characters for the original Shadowrun roleplaying game. He was a decker. His sig line crossed out the time/date stamp and replaced it with ha/ha/ha. This is the only pic I could find of him. I think it's from game art, though, and not anime.

Not really any difference I just prefer jars. Stick with what works for you. Every one here with more than 5-6 grows in probably has cupboards full of jars.

Now if I could figure out how to do that with socks in the dryer I could become a sock millionaire.

I just got another dozen wide mouth quart jars. I was thinking yesterday, I had some other jars on a drying mat in the kitchen. I was wondering what do I tell someone that sees all these jars? My grows and supplies are in a locked room, but I seem to to be collecting jars and at least some seem to always be drying on the kitchen counter.
When I started 4 months ago I figured I would never need more than a dozen half pint and a dozen quart jars.
They multiply like cockroaches.

I have only one word for the jar question. Sclerotia.
