Hi friends
So i have taken the plunge and began cultivation using a grow kit i got online. I purchased 2 kits and growing 2 different strains.
Anyway, the first step is to inject the bag of Rye with the spores and keep in a warm place (22C to 29C recommended in instructions).
I injected my Rye bags, took a big plastic container and enclosed the inside with a thick sheep skin wrapper, i then placed the Rye bags inside on top of the sheep skin wrap and i placed the plastic box on top of a Heating Mat. The heating mat is one of the ones used for reptiles.
I been checking the temperature (its only been 2 days) and the average temp is between 28C and 30C.
My concern is this, i just checked the bags and the bottom of the rye bags was warm, it wasnt boiling hot but a bit warmer than average. Will this heat ruin the setup? What i just did was to take the mat and only cover half of the box with it, i then placed the rye bags on the half that is not covered by the mat, closed the lid and checked an hour after and was getting a 28C in the box without the bags heating up at the bottom.
Am i safe? Or have i just ruined my bags? I appreciate your help and any advice. I have included 3 pictures of the setup so you can get a better idea.
I will be updating this post with updates as i go, that's if i haven't ruined the setup that is. Also, for the record, one strain is B+ and the other is Cambodian.
Thanks a lot friends.

82-86 for the Americans... anyway those temps are fine for spore germination but you dont need your heating pad unless your house is regularly below 21 degrees C
