I stopped using black trash bags, (although I love tripdawgs's method of mixing in the bag and just setting into the tub) because unless they are real thick sometimes the water tension holds it to the side of the tub and keeps it from shrinking with the substrate.

I use rolls of plastic dropcloth, clear, and the thickest MIl plastic they have. A five dollar roll will do tons of tubs.
I find the thick plastic stays with the substrate better and is easier to list the sub out without breaking it.

I also like a clear liner because it allows you to see side/bottom fruits if you do get them. Also, sometimes when the top of the sub is fully colonized there can be patches on the bottom that still need a couple days. If I have to use a black liner I always wait a couple more dats u ntill fruiting now because of this

try to rip the bag up and fold it so you have 1 part sticking to the tub and 1 part sticking to the sub!
it works every time for me! I tear it up along the 2 long sides so its 1 long piece of trash bag then fold it.

That's a good idea with the clear plastic lining, mushpunx.  Clear also allows for the substrate to get light exposure.  :super:

If you are sincerely trying to help. My apologies. Usually when people say what I'm doing is pointless without saying why or showing a link to prove their point I figure them to be trolling or shit talkers. That is how I took your statement from yesterday. Take care!

It's okay dude, I was trying to help you. Should have explained myself better...I know what I know from years of research and experience. I usually don't shit talk or spew out false information. With that said, calling people names is immature and childish. Punk, douchebag? Oh well man, water under the bridge. :toast:
