a good day indeed

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.---senior doobie

I find the early morning to be my favorite time of the day. You can go outside and feel the peace. Your thoughts are clear. What sounds there are tend to be natural, birds waking up, wind blowing gently through the trees..

Later there will be 12 cars a' honking, 11 school busses belching smoke, 10 breaks schreeching, with a full load of screaming kids on board, everything in creation active and adding their noise to the cachophony..

But we won't be there for a couple hours yet. Maybe we can savor just a few more moments of peace..

This is my favorite time to meditate... the calm before the storm as the sun just starts to show over the horizon...

Hell, this weekend I've been waking up at 2 pm and I see the sun set two hours later. I wasn't even aware the Sun came up, just that it disappears.
Peace.

Ja, Gunnar told me when I first got here (when the sun was coming up at seven and setting at ten o clock at night  ) that in the winter he would be driving to work in the dark and driving home in the dark...
Peace.

Just a reminder for those of you who've missed it: that shining golden orb high up in the sky is known (in these parts) as "the sun".

Very perceptive cuz that's no tree, but a giant azurescens - "Mushroomito" - the mushroom spirit.

Come one man, whats the deal. A few weaks ago you wouldn't have ever typed those words. Those would have been my words and you should have typed.

Mushroomito? How can a spirit be made in a lab? Just a peculiar observation. Please run with it. For I see it's going "somewhere". LOL LATER>

One sunrise is not like unto another. Ones surroundings colour it.

So brothers and sisters, I say confidently: warm indoors on a cold winters night, with a hearty meal and a bottle of red vintage in my belly joined with a good dose of codeine, with the asian mistress sleeping soundly at my side and looking cute, it's gonna be another great sunrise!  Cheers to all S&P' ers!

most people dwell on the surface of life, skating around like those little bugs on the water. They have no idea of the depth just below them.

that's why cali hella rocks because I see on a constant basis neat sunrises and sunsets.  expecially when the hills are hella green, and the sun makes the clouds seem firey.  that's the shit right there
