Hello Everyone! I've come here today to share an idea with you all. I've been brainstorming on it for a while and before I buy anything I'd like to share the idea with you all and see if I'm in the right mind about it. First thing is, I live in a small space with three cats(yes yes...I know... Im clean about it at least, just FYI! :P) Clean or not... when you have three cats it makes it hard to study without the fear of SFC and tubs being knocked over/rubbed on... So my solution is to isolate a corner in my living space and designate it for mycology supposes. Here is the plan...
I start off with this double greenhouse.. which can be bought on Amazon for 65$ and free shipping. It could probably be constructed cheaper from scratch but of that i am still uncertain. Once you calculate hassle and time in there...anyways:

Before I started anything i would lay down a piece of plastic on the floor in the corner ill be putting my tent, so the carpet isn't exposed and doesn't get wet. I was thinking that one shelf unit(on either side...Probably the right side of the unit in the picture) could be isolated with a piece of plastic and adhesive of some sort with a door fashioned by partially cutting out a square and attaching a zipper.. And two humidifiers piped in through the backside and a light attached to the back (all connected to timers of course.) A pan, possibly filled with perlite to return humidity into the air, would be placed on the bottom shelf. The top two shelved would be for fruiting purposes.
NOW... On the other shelf inside the greenhouse unit. I would leave this open in the tent and possibly remove one of the shelves. That way I could reserve this area for a safe place to do Innocs. and g2g and agar. I was even considering working a flow hood into this area somehow (through the backside.) The top shelf would provide a place for incubation and/or utensil/jar/dish storage. This way everything involved with my hobby, is in an isolated contamination free space, all together. I would probably have to modify the front door to the greenhouse with a zipper to keep it sealed.
My only two concerns are that I will run into some form of hindrance during this project, AFTER I buy everything... AND that once I do construct it all... My cats would display their talent of somehow messing it all up... like tearing holes in the plastic or something.. But that's why I'm here. I'd like to run this by all of you and see if you have any suggestions before I go all out and spend a bunch of money. Am I in the right mind?
