Wrap your (preferably) full grown petry in peroxidated clingwrap. Then open it a bit stretching the clingwrap just so a needle can pass. Do it and inject 5 ml sterile distilled water (tap should work too) and while taking water back try to take all of the hypae off agar into srynge. Put that water in something sterile and airtight. By source literature it should go in stasis lacking nutes and air and will keep viable atleast 5 years on 4C temp.
I guess you have your sterility on spot so you can skip the clingwrap, it was something I would do when I was carefull making LI.
Good luck.

Also, just droping agar pieces with myc in water will also work, tht was what the authors did.

For most basidia viability has been repoted as long as 10 years. Oysters having around 78% recovery after 10 years period.

Hint: Use regular unfiltered jars and seal with wax

I believe that grain masters store very well. Biggest issue is refrigerator space.
