This Feeling

I have consistently encountered this feeling whilst on shrooms but do not know what one describes it as. I could use your help.
I am relatively new to psilocybin so forgive my ignorance.
There is a stage in the trip most prevalent at peak where by I seem to snap into another place, for example:
Id be sitting at my desk listening to music, and the song will change. The song change sends me into a state whereby my whole vision is kaleidoscopic and I am in complete disconnect with anything else. Its hard to know how long this state lasts but I would estimate about 45 seconds. After I snap out of this state I am always thinking 'wow' and feel quite emotional. Sometimes this happens once per trip and my first time it happened 5+.
What is this occurrence called? I would really like to read more about it and others experiences with it.
On a complete side note how long of a break from psilocybin resets your tolerance? I tripped 4 times within 2 and a half months with tolerance noticeably building each time with the above occurrence becoming less frequent. Since then I havent tripped for 2 and a half months. I plan to trip this week and I am unsure what to do with dosage, any help would be welcome.

I'd just call that "getting" into the experience. "Trancing out" is another good term. It's just where you stare at the same spot and just let the music take you with it. I would call this occurrence as being one of the best effects one can get from a psychedelic, but sadly on the lower doses it does not happen a lot. Usually when people close their eyes and listen to music on psychedelics, it yields the exact same effects.
As far as tolerance goes, generally you should wait at least 1-2 weeks. I have tripped week after week before (longest was 4 weeks in a row) and it really is no fun. All the magic is gone (for me after I waited like 3-4 months it did come back mostly) and you feel totally fried. 4 times in 2.5 months sounds pretty reasonable, that's like once every 2.3 weeks.

Thanks for your response! I think you are describing the same thing. For example when I am on my own I find it a lot easier for this to happen due to not being grounded by having another person with you. Where as once when I was with a friend, I just entered the state and as soon as he spoke it stopped. Does this sound familiar?

Yeah, usually my solo trips let this happen much more often, and the overall trip is just more visual and intense. When I trip with someone else or have a sitter, I just laugh my ass off until I am no longer tripping haha
