Bottle teks

What's the simplest most efficient way to take a single brf cake and a 2 liter bottle and yield some decent results? I'm not focused on results, I just want to give my friend a cake so he can understand the love...
I am aware I could simply create a sgfc out of the 2 liter bottle and pour a few inches of perlite into it. But is there a "cooler" way to do this? Like put the cake in the middle of the bottle and pour verm around it? Or would I have to make a small amount of bulk substrate like coir and then pour that around the cake and over it? I don't want to crumble the cake ha ha.
Anyt better ideas regarding a bottle tek? I have to keep in mind my friend knows nothing about mycology.

Do the mini SGFC and use an empty gallon milk jug. That way plenty of perlite and space for mushies.
^^ Best way IME

Fuck the bottle; too much maintenance for a nub. I suggest these as gifts: Yeilds about 5 grams dry. Yields about an eighth.
My progress with these projects. You can just spawn with one brf cake, you don't need grains They are pretty much set and forget... maybe a mist here and there
Coir isn't even hard to work with. I think it is easier to pasteurize coir then make brf cakes...
I really don't recommend giving your friends there own cakes to grow in the first place. The less people that know you grow, the better. I don't even tell my best friends I grow; I say I have a really good family-friend connect that gives them to me fo free

I would go with Muda's Tek. I'm new to growing, and have gone through multiple techniques. so far Muda's has nbeen the best for me. I use rye and hpoo as opposed to oats and coir, and it works wonderfully. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20591316/fpart/1/vc/1/nt/123

Hope I'm not hijacking this tread too bad, but do you have any tips on adjusting Muda's Tek to use rye instead of oats?
Thanks

I would just use RR's rye prep but instead of straining your rye and drying it. I would just dump it into your bulk substrate. Make sure when you are filling your pot with soak water to only use enough to hydrate your rye and bulk substrate. So you don't have to squeeze any excess out to get to field capacity.
