How's my agar looking?

So this was the first agar attempt that I went all out and did everything by the book. Some contammed with bacteria and I tossed em, but these are the survivors. How do they look? Ive been reading the shroomery for over a year now and still have trouble distinguishing mush myc from other nasties.
All of the plates were from prints except from maz which was from a syringe. The allenii growth is really throwing me off

3 and 4 look good, 2 looks okay, 1 I would re-do because I like stronger growth from MS syringe but that will work too,
Last one did you inoculate with the whole damn syringe?
5 had more then one drop, right?

No, all of yhese were from prints except for #5(maz) which was a syringe. Tthats why im confused about 6, the spores were placed directly in the middle.

nope.
just start taking transfers from the leading edge to new plates.
doesn't matter which plate you start with. personally, I would start with the plate with the most growth and make transfers from it to new petris. then one more transfer from those. once you get your third transfer, put it on grains.
you want a 2D (two dimensional) plane of mycelium.

Thanks for the link burberry. Got a batch of agar cooling now, going to pour soon. Only going to do a few transfers from the mazatapec and the pink buffalo, ill let the others grow put a bit more. The allenii im scrapping, I dont think its mush myc.
Since theres no rhizomorphic growth yet ill just transfer from the densest growth

Leading edge.
The one that's farthest away from the center. This means it's faster growth. Fast growth is what you want before you fruit. I'd fruit my second round transfers.
The order of importance to me:
Clean above all Fruiting Potential > Growth > Rhizo/Tomentose.

Hey OP are you planning a MS grow or you want an isolate? You have to start cleaning those spores transferring good looking myc to other plates. At least 2-3 transfers to achieve a clean MS culture.

Im planning to do a MS grow then clone a fruit and isolate from there. I was going to wait for the kthers to grow a bit more before transferring, but now seems like a good time?

wtf else would be growing like that?
what you need to do is take the leading edge of the mushroom mycelium and transfer it just to make sure. then transfer it again, just to make double sure.

I wouldn't recommend doing an isolate from a MS grow. ever.
you could end up with a non fruiting strain after months of work.
better to take a clone from a MS grow.
you know better than that Mr. Alien

Still some people like to go blind doing things. They like surprises . Usually those people do 10 isolate from a MS and test them all.

hey BS! cool to see you're still around!
I'd myself would choose a plate that didnt have much growth, because you never know whats growing when spores -> agar start thickening up.
how's life? I saw your video the other day!
