Probably a good idea. If this chart pattern turns out to be just another bear flag, it's a big one now and that ain't good for longs.

yeah, if i was buying incrementally it'd be one thing. 10oz at 17.2X, another 10oz a little farther down, etc, etc. but at 100oz, wanna be sure not to dive into the deep end at the wrong time

Monex says 16.22.
Wonder how many "sell before it hits 15" people may change this.
Starting to wonder if we will see Lunar Eclipse's ten dollar silver.
Wife has cut me off.
New game plan is its a 10k buy at 8-10 or just ride it.
One thing that sucks for me at this junction is when it drops even a dollar or two there's a huge change in my investment. 150 to 200 troy was no "big" deal when it dropped but now with our holdings it's a massive hit; then again I suppose it's only a hit if I sell.
Doubt we'll even see 10, but wow.
I hope solid resistance at 15 this is looking ugly.

Same here I bought at 21-22. Just hoping it's worth something 30 years from now really

Same on the 30 years.
I thought you bought 336 maples when it was hovering at 30.
We're you able to get out of that safely?
If you don't want to reveal your gains or losses I understand, would be nice to hear you got out while the going was good unless I'm mistaking you for someone else.

as the dollar strengthens, as the world stabilizes, so falls PMs.
But it's ok, because it won't be too long before another shitshow happens.

Agreed.
Stocks aren't going to stay where they're at forever. The more I see them climb the more I'm wondering when it'll all fall apart again.
Curious as to how illegals "being on the books and paying taxes" or whatever will do to the US economy. I only read the article in passing and can't find it again. Part of this whole immigration debacle. Dirty bandaids on an infected and necrotic wound.

The chasing of both yield, and "growth", has reached severely retarded levels, and will fail in a miserable manner. Some external event will likely be the "excuse", but the writing surely must be on the wall by now.
Amazon, for example. Perhaps not the best example, but still one of a stretched valuation of a company that barely makes money over the years. At least they are building a non-profit empire.
Here's a good one, Tesla. What a freaking joke, this clown of a CEO recently said in "x" years, his joke of a car company stock will actually be a trillion dollar market cap. Elon Musk, you stink!
However, bubbles get huge before they finally explode, and this one appears to be no exception. The fallout this one makes along with a complete shitting collapse of real estate, will be a bad one. Mark my words. 2016 will be a shitty year. Very shitty.

it may not be 2016, but I agree that we're in for another 'big global recession' circa 2008-2011. there's just a lot going on.
I see a continued disalignment between the US growth & monetary policy and the rest of the globe. i think it eventually will be the catalyst for the next global recession. greenback will surge too strong (PMs will be cheap, i'll be buying), eventually assfucking international corporations with USD-denominated debts, which further crimp the global economy (and international equity markets with disproportionate amount of companies listed who hold USD-denominated debt), which sparks our next recession, a new bear market comes (during which at some point i'll offload the PMs I bought during the greenback's surge), and I jump into equities with all the PM cash I just got.

I'm so glad this forum exists. You guys have no idea how the contributions here have helped me and the wife figure out our debt, asset allocation, our student loans, car purchase and upcoming home purchase. Many thanks to *all* the posters here as well. Everything is finally straightened out. It's been a hard five years being mangled and poor and in debt. Finally getting better health wise too.
Thank god the purchasing of a home will be in a few months while there are low mortgage rates and "we just want it sold" houses. This car wreck settlement and recouping not only lost wages but 10+ times our gold and silver is working out great. I'm doing an audit today but as of now, even buying all the gold and silver back tenfold or greater, we are still up approximately 37-40k.
meams, I just read your post to my wife and she gave me the "this is why I told you to stop buying for now".
Thanks a lot, both literally and sarcastically, . Maybe it is time to quit while I'm ahead. Gold, silver and coins are becoming an addiction now and not a smart financial move. I really do have to stop and take a break. I mean honestly approx 35-40k profit and holding at least ten times as much, it's time to let it ride.
After one more monster box of maples.

Having just sold a house in this "strong" real estate market, it appears to me that at least where I am, it's pretty much on fumes at this point. There are first time buyers with basically no money down, and in fact "zero" down with the USDA loans, that are able to get financing only with the seller paying closing costs. For the FHA loan they got, they paid a mere 3.5% down and I paid 4.5% in closing costs. What's wrong with this picture? It's a repeat of 2005, and prices have maybe a year to go before taking a giant crap when rates finally start moving up for real in 2016.
Looking at real estate prices, we see that while not back to the peak of 2006, we are getting pretty close. The difference this time is that it's basically all "funny money" driving the bus.
Agreed the USD is likely to strengthen further given the limited choice of alternatives, and the punishment to the international companies, and virtually every foreign country will be felt. The oil prices are a boost to an extent but only to the consumer, and really tell a story of demand falling off. China is a real mess waiting to happen, it's just not "sustainable".
Silver prices, I am not predicting $10 but a retest of the low 15s seems more than likely...

I'm going to start incrementally moving into a physical silver position once the spot price heads down past the $15.00 mark

Wait, weren't you ready to go all in at $17 and change about 2 weeks ago? What changed?
