ibogaine for someone with an alcohol addiction

So I live in Canada where this stuff is completely legal and I ordered some ibogaine off the net.
Basically my mom has been an alcoholic for 40 years and you could probably guess how awful that has been. Basically she tried any treatment that has not been drug based and it did not work. Not a big surprise since those methods have such low success rates. Its gotten to the point where the longest she can hold off it is just 7 days. The doctors say her liver could fail at any time if she keeps it up and it would kill her because of how many times this has happened in the past. She drinks frequently right now and when she cant afford alcohol she might buy some cocaine or any drug she can use as a crutch.
I told her about ibogaine and she she realized how serious I was about helping her quit her addiction (even though I know its mostly up to her). Because she didn't want to do it she tried to stay sober but only lasted for 4 days before relapsing and I instantly ordered it. Since this may be the only thing that might stop this because everything else has failed.
So its now on its way in the mail. I ordered 5 grams (hopefully that's a little extra for me for later since I have been interested in trying it for spiritual purposes). I ordered "Tabernanthe Iboga Premium Grade A+ Root Bark" without really realizing the website had tons of other options.
I am aware of how long the trip is and how it makes you feel very ill and basically locks you in bed when your not puking.
So basically I was wondering:
-if this is the best kind to use for someone with an Alcohol addiction or if I should go ahead and order another strain that would better suit her situation?
-what would the dosage be for someone like that? she isn't used to psychedelics. shes in her 40's, has been addicted since she was 17.
-what environment would be best for her?
-is she going to inevitably have a bad trip due to this situation?
Thanks for taking the time to read this. This is really the only way we haven't tried to help her with yet.

I don't think we're allowed to give dosage advice, you could check erowid or plenty of other sites tho. They can probably answer some of your other questions too. I'd like to make sure you're not assuming ibogaine is some sort of miracle cure. I've never tried it but I know enough to know that it is not what some people hype it up to be.

Alright I'll look on there. I don't really expect it to be some miracle cure but if it would lower her addictive tendencies at all it would still be a help. Worth a shot at least.

Hi. I took ibogaine to help me with a benzo addiction. I'm not sure that it really helped, although I did stop for 3 months afterwards, but it mainly was out of sheer willpower. I later learned that it doesn't really have proven effectiveness against benzos. Same might be true for alcohol as they are both GABA agonists.
One thing to consider - ibogaine can kill. I was nearly taken to hospital because of my heart rate, and this was with a sitter who had helped over a thousand people.
Also - it was fucking terrifying. By far the craziest experience I've ever had. I had so many "dreams" that it felt like I was away for about 3 weeks, in reality it was 3 days. Also the dreams were indistinguishable from reality..
Please proceed with caution. Your mum has to research this herself, as much as she can. She needs to know what she's getting herself in for.
