Feedback needed on my SGFC setup <3

Greetings fellow shroomers,
This is my very first post on this forum (although I've been lurking for quiiiiite a while), so I'll try to make it as clear and detailed as possible. The aim of this post is to get some feedback from experienced growers on my new SGFC setup.
For starters, a bit of history (skip the first two paragraphs if you wish). I've recently started growing P. Cubensis using the BRF tek. Because I am such a lazy noob and I thought I was so clever, I initially built my own (tiny) version of the SGFC because I only wanted to fruit two cakes at a time. I birthed my first 2 cakes with after the traditional "dunk and roll". This resulted in some relatively nice shrooms after approx. 2 weeks, with 4.5g dry from the first flush of one of the cakes (see picture below).

However the other cake (the one on the right), which had been inoculated / colonized / put in the FC in what looked like the exact same conditions, did not produce any fruit (but instead some weird blobs of mycelium). After my first harvest on the 1st cake, I dunked it for 24 hours (didn't roll) and placed it back in my shitty FC. I left it there for another week, but I saw no pinning at all, not even on the second "old" cake that hadn't produced anything. I decided to take the 2nd cake out, and I removed the weird blobs, dunked it (still no roll), and placed it back into the FC. A week after, still nothing on this 2nd cake (see below). However the first one started pinning again at the very bottom (I suspect due to the higher humidity between the cake and the tin foil).

Since then, after realizing how stupid I was not to follow the proper spec., I've build a proper SGFC (Hurrrrray!!!) of size 80L, with ~1/4in holes every 2in on all 6 sides, filled with approx. 7in of damp, well-drained perlite. I leave it in my living-room, which is about 21C, with no ambient air current. I've and made sure to elevate it enough and to place it not too close to any wall (see below). I use a fluorescent 6500K light bulb with 12/12h cycles. I should say that I didn't use a proper drill for the holes. Instead I pierced them by heating up a 5mm metal bar to melt the plastic, and then adjusted all the holes manually with a knife (what a nightmare!) to a diameter of 6mm (0.25in). So while most holes are 6mm in diameter, some of them are a bit larger (7 or 8mm).

In this new proper SGFC, I put my 2 previous cakes (see above, bottom right and top left cakes, respectively the one on 2nd flush with new pins, and the one that hadn't fruited at all), and added two new ones (see above, top right and bottom left; fully colonized + roughly one month of consolidation - no in-vitro pin though...) that I dunked and rolled. Several times a day (twice in the morning plus 3-4 times in the evening), I mist the perlite and the cakes directly (fine mist), and then fan the whole chamber for 15-20s.
Now after one week with this new setup, the two "new" rolled cakes look healthy (no pin/knot yet though), the old one with pins now has mushies that look almost ready to harvest, and the 2nd "old" cake that never fruited (top left) still shows no sign of pinning. I'm really wondering if I'm gonna get anything out of this one at all...

As you can see on the above pictures (rotated, sorry about that), one of the shrooms has a cap cracked in the center. Is that a sign of low humidity, and should I be worried / change something? I believe that my FAE is decent (I've got no condensation on the walls), but I have no idea about the humidity (never used any kind of hygrometer, since I only have access to crap ones).
Any feedback / suggestions at all would be highly appreciated! And many thanks to all contributors (especially the trusted growers) for the tons of invaluable info I've found on this forum so far, you guys rock!

I'm having the same thing going on in my SGFC, on my first grow. I started with an auto-terrarium and switched to a SGFC because of this board. The switch made my 1 cake grow, and a second cake pin (then aborted) but the rest are lagging. There are a lot if extremely nice and very knowledgeable experts on here, all looking to help. We'll get an answer. One thing I've learned here is to be patient and don't give up. Trust the forum.

noobie here... looks like low humidity. crackings from low humidity and splitting is from rapid growth?

Doesn't look like low humidity to me - looks like rapid growth. Your SGFC looks good to me. You don't need a hygrometer if you follow the tek because the tek is tried tested and proven
Dry caps look more like dried mud cracking - like this:

EDIT: and that first harvest is a great haul for your first attempt with cakes - I didn't get anything off my first 6 cakes and promptly started doing agar and grain lol

Check for visible moisture on your cakes every time you fan. If there isn't any, mist until they glisten.

Thanks for the help! Concerning my weird looking cake that hasn't produced anything in 1month+, should I toss it? Also, I've now harvested the cake that had mushrooms on the pictures. There were only 4 though. Should I keep it in the FC like that, or re-dunk it and put it on 3rd flush? Cheers guys!

Yeah, I'd toss it. Is it warm where you are?

Yeah give the one that is producing another dunk and see if you'll get a 3rd flush, as to the one that hasn't done anything - like I said I had 6 duds like that and I never figured out if it was a contam or some failure on my part. I buried mine in flower pots and low and behold they finally fruited.

My living-room is at 21-22 deg C. Ok then, I'll remove the old cake from the FC (maybe bury it too ^^) and dunk the harvested one.

A lot of good stuff here. Thanks guys! About burying them... What about breaking them up and spawning to manure instead of a flower pot? Thanks, forum!

If the cake isn't producing it's likely contaminated. It's been sitting in non-sterile conditions (fruiting) for a month. It's covered in bacteria. Spawning with fresh cakes is fine, spawning a month old dud to bulk sub is asking for contamination. The flower pot works because it's full of soil micro-flora so it's fine. You aren't going to infect the soil with a contam, it just joins the party. If you spawn it you are deliberately putting contaminated spawn into uncolonized sub. This is a bad idea.
