We choose our own realities. Anyone that tells you different is trying to control you.

--------------------

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Psalm 12:6
The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Hebrews 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Revelation 3:11
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Far from the truth but that is your choice of what is reality. As long as you can see, that it is just that, then I have nothing more to say.

Everything would be much more convenient for you if I was a troll so I don't blame you or your baseless accusations.

A product of greed (one's own and "rehabilitation center's") Or a disease of the mind?

We cannot deny physical dependence to substances like alcohol or heroin. If we are dependent on them and stop either. Alcohol will kill us. Heroin will not.

Can the spirit overcome the mind/body? I say yes. What do you think?

I believe it's a much more complex issue than those two choices you've boiled it down to. My dependency on heroin-- and just rampant drug abuse overall-- in my early 20s had to do with chronic feelings of depression, social anxiety, boredom, desire to become known and respected for my ability to go hard (aka immaturity), long-time curiosity, extremely easy access to almost any drug I wanted, immersion into a social circle filled with drug use, fear of turning out to be a failure, a generally negative time to be entering young adulthood (late 2000s/early 2010s), indecision on where to take my life, and lack of productive things I was passionate about. In other words, a lot of shit came together to create that perfect storm.

Most of those issues I grew past, but it's not as easy as wanting to move on and seeing results overnight. It takes a lot of hard work, especially when you find your drug of choice. Once you've found it, in the back of your mind you will always know that the "solution" to your problem anytime you're feeling less than ideal is just a dose away. And that's an extremely tempting thought.

I understand man. I hope you understand how you are not your mind nor you body. You are a soul plugged into a decaying vessel and you have full administrative permissions of it. You sound like you have come a long way and I wish you the best.

Romans 12:2

King James Version (KJV)

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
