What is this??? Input needed!

What is going on here? Healthy Myc. at the top and then cloudy, cobweb mold like 2/3's of the way down. Is this healthy? Should it be thrown out? Does Mycelium actually grow in two tone like this?
The entire bottom is covered in this lighter, thinner whatever. I could really use some input on this.

Patience friend, someone will have some info for you soon. I wish I could shed some light on this for you but I'm too new to the game. I do know the people here are super helpful though and if you give the community time you'll have an answer soon enough.

I'd crosspost to the contamination forum. They might be quicker to respond.

Is that how you react to someone if they don't text you back in 45 minutes?

You always ruin everything! Its most likely cobweb or some other similar mold. Could also be bacteria and healthy myc could be trying to consume the weakend myc.
OP, can you tell us more about your inoculation methods and when you first noticed signs of growth?

Inoculated inside of a glove box, pretty sterile. Growth after 8-10 days. Everything ways going great and then this. It grew as fast if not faster then the Myc.

It's most likely a cobweb like mold. The timeline sounds bacterial, but if you saw the 2 separate growths start at the same time I'd bet on mold. I'd toss the jar.

Really, Damn. I thought maybe the myc could fight um off or something, or maybe it was just a weak myc that colonized low. I guess that was wishful thinking. Damn.
I burnt the hell out 12 other ones by forgetting the heater in the closet. Got to 110 degrees. Man, what a hobby.

You know what was weird. The mold seem to actually come from under the Myc. Is that strange or what?

Generally speaking, taking a risk for most folks on this site, means risking a few hundred dollars worth of sub and genetic material. Not to mention the hours spent getting everthing set up. One cake going bad and sporulating in your grow area risks contamination for every future grow you make.
If ya really wanna risk it and fruit it, isolate it in another room, or your garage or something, far far away from the rest of your grow. Preferably a room or place that isn't vented to the rest of the house.
Good luck bud!
