wife made me go edibles.

Wife just put her foot down against growin cubensis in the house!!!
She did "agree" to let me grow edibles.
Going forward. I have a small space. I only have 2 monotubs. I have made a sgfc that I turned into a sab so I'd have to make a new one for sgfc varieties and I really don't care for the maintenance of them so I'd like to grow my varieties in a monotub.
As far as my reading has gone the following CAN be done in a mono:
Portabella
Lionsmane (although I would do it in a block form in a grow bag inside the mono.
Shitake
Reishi.
Any suggestions, additions, omissions?
TIA

Enoki and King Oysters can be done in a monotub.
Where did you read that Shiitake is a good choice for a mono? Seems like it would need more FAE than a mono can supply normally.

Shit I was just in a page after page thread reading.... It was RR who said Shitake actually does quite well with low fae and he even did them in spawn bags with a filter patch and a couple slits from the top of sub to the top of bag. He said mono would work but mileage would vary.
In my reading oysters need a lot of fae and a mono wouldn't work. I am seeing oysters in grow bags with a couple holes using coir/verm/gypsum/coffee grounds so I really don't see why a mono wouldn't work here as well although the bag and coir may be ideal to keep the moisture level where it needs to be. Dunno, still reading.

Yeah, most Oysters need a lot of FAE in order to avoid getting long stems, except for King Oysters were fat stems are good.

Enoki, King Oysters, Reishi, Agrocybe Aegerita works well in tubs.
Shiitake don't mind low FAE too, but is easier to grow on blocs so I often put 3 blocks per tub, side by side.

Hmm. Do indoor laundry basket oysters with LOTS of manure. That should make her change her mind
