i havent been able to find any posts that say to "use this filter with that blower and use these measurements for the body". (although i did find one thread with pictures and details but no specified parts) that would be way easier than having to hunt down compatible parts. if i am successful i will definitely try to post a how to for specific parts so that if people can get a hold of the parts i use it will be way easier for them. unless that is somehow a bad idea. so i found a cheap filter. http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/product/24-x-12-x-58-micron-filter.html i dont see any specs for it. ill have to contact them about that. is there anything wrong with using this filter? this one filters 99.99. i think i read somewhere that it should filter out 99.997% or something... or maybe it was 99.97 on a side note my dad is a building engineer. he does HVAC stuff as well as some other cool things. ill ask him if he has any old blowers around. im guessing used HEPA filters from commercial buildings are out of the question?

The filters on that site are quite good, a little over priced though.
But that is a good filter.
They have blowers on their site as well. Something similar to this would be what you want: http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/product/all-purpose-blower-549-cfm-free-air-delivery.html
Although you'd have to figure out if it's suitable. Again, you can probably find the same or extremely similar products on other sites for a much smaller cost.

I think this is the same blower they use for about $150 + 20 shipping. I don't think shipping is included on fungi.com, so who knows the difference.

the highest cfm is only like 90 dollars. not too much less powerful than the other site. i asked fungi perfecti via email how powerful a blower i will need and the specs for the filter.
*still waiting on that email from fungi perfecti*

ok got the email from that site. it says "the cfm rating of that filter (12x24x5.8) is 250-275" what do they mean cfm rating? is that how powerful the blower needs to be? or how much cfm it will decreaste the total output by? "we pair it with our EAFB1 that offers 360 cfm at 1" " also read somewhere on the forum where RR said that 200-300 cfm blower is good for about 2ft^2 and the one im looking at is about 150 cfm more. i also read that it needs to be 1/5 horsepower. this one is 1/40th horse power. so can i use this blower or do i need a different one?
also, what is a plenum? is that just the airspace between the filter and the blower exhaust? and for the pre filter i was thinking about putting one of those cone-ish shaped car filters over teh intake on the outside.
