After dunking cakes look like they've been through a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson

Hi everyone, I just wanted to get your opinion on my cakes after dunking. They look bruised all over. It was after taking them out this morning after a 24hr dunk. I've heard that wherever its bruised you won't get any mushroom growth...is this true? I handled them as delicately as possible during the rinse, dunk and roll cycle. I'm just looking for reassurance or any info if I did anything wrong. I've attached a picture too.

Thanks in advance.

I think they're fine just let them keep doing their thing.

My mini bulk cake looks soo much worse and it just put out a beautiful 2nd flush! It looks like if Frankenstein got ran over by a tank. Blue, purple, green but no contams. Its actually quite beautiful. Relieved to say i learned from it so my newer ones are fruiting white as little bo peeps sheep

Yeah, they'll heal up just fine. Mine looked like that once because I used Bernardin jars.

That's what I used too...they were nearly impossible to get out even though there was no "lip" on the mouth but the suction just wouldn't let them go.

Nailed it!
Make sure you stay on top of misting and checking that perlite. Canadian winters are bone dry.
