What have you got there? Are these real mushrooms, or are they figures cut in wood? Not active, by any means...

But some information would help. Slightly...

It looks a bit like a carved "woodrose", a type of burl that is formed on certain tree roots by a parasitic plant here in New Zealand, (Dactylanthus taylorii), I'm sure there are other similar parasitic plants in other locations around the world.

Lmfao, you can see the grains of the wood in the 'caps', where it has been carved on the 'stipes' and everything. OP is good troll  :congrats:

just messing with you guys!

but seriously, its kind of scary thing that some of you don't notice its just a wooden carving (there is a freaking $45 price tag on the 1st picture! :-D). What are the chances for those of us to do the right identification based on few pictures

Oh, haha! It's kind of annoying to scroll sideways on pictures this large, so I think most of us missed that. But for real, you paid $45 for that shit?

Looks like a Psathyrella species, but the caps appear to be deliquescing!

No I didn't buy it. I liked it before I saw the price tag, also before I noticed the cap-stem gluings were all off.

Santa Cruz downtown is full of these kind of hippy stores full of expensive bullshit.  :poop:
