I'm trying to become profecient at changing barre chords and it makes my hand hurt REALLY bad... Do I need to get a guitar with a smaller freatboard? Like one made for a girl? Cuz I really think it's impossible for me to finger some of these chords, much less just go from chord to chord and still be able to hit everything. I've been playing for three years almost and I still can't do complex barre chords.

My hand REALLY hurts.

I didn't know 'girl' guitar fretboards were made any smaller than 'guy' guitar fretboards.. :smile:

Oh and electric guitars are easier. on the fingers. :smile:

Especially strats.  Strings play so soft...mmmm....

Try it without the main finger/bar finger. Means you cover up all but the two E's. The bottom which can be dulled with the thumb and the top with rings in harmony so thats fine. It enables you to slllllllllllide with ease up and down the board.

ps. I'm not sure if there are actual female guitars on the mass market, just certain ones with smaller fret boards. Gibson, thats got a thin neck.

Yeah I can play basic barre chords that are like 355333 bull shit like that no problem.

It's the weird ones that Dave MAtthews and John Mayer like to use that fucking make me want to throw my guitar out the window

I have a Fender Strat LS

I plan on investing on an acoustic in the near future
