Ready for Birthing? (pic)
    #2129465 - 11/22/03 08:27 PM (13 years, 21 days ago)

Hey y'all. My bud needs to get some opinions on whether he should birth this cake or not. Actually, he would dunk it before birthing, but take a look at this pic and let me know what you think.
This was his strongest and fastest colonizing cake. There are 2 small spots that "look" uncolonized. Kinda weird as he has other cakes that show faint signs of verm through the myc. He doesn't know what to think... any help?

I'd wait till the spots are covered... it doesnt hurt to wait. Patience is the key to success. (side shots would help too)
Good luck!

I can't upload anymore until an hour or so from now. Sides are COMPLETELY colonized, though. Funny, these 2 little spots weren't there yesterday! I swear this cake is phucking with my emotions.

Better to be safe than sorry, I hear ya. I may bite the bullet and dunk this mofo tomorrow regardless.

Heh. My bud has 3 of his cakes dunking right now, including the one in the pic and will birth today.

He was kinda shocked to open the jars to find some myc. that penetrated the dry verm and started colonizing the lid!

...all and together now... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, da da daaa da daaa da....

Those spots look like the ones caused by slightly to much water. Looks ready to birth.

Yeah, my first thought when I saw the spots was that it was simply waste product from the mycelium, no uncolonized areas. Hard to really tell from the picture though.
