Hi everyone!
So let me start off by saying my name is Jane I inoculated my first 6 jars almost 9 days ago, I bought a kit from &%%& thought it would be best since it's my first time and I don't have too much time on my hands. Anyways my next step after they all get colonized of course is to dunk the cakes in water)but at the moment I don't have any vermiculite. Where can I get what I need to make some vermiculite and any tips or advice is welcomed.

You don't make vermiculite. But a hardware store or gardening center would be a good place to look.

How far along are the jars colonized? You most likely have some time to order your vermiculite, which im surprised the kit didnt include.
When you buy it, you might want to buy a couple bags of perlite too as y oul need that for your fruiting chamber.
Gardening stores or hardware store garden department. Call around or order it

U can also join amazon prime for free for the 1st 30 days and order everything u need and use the free 2 day shipping. Then of course cancel your prime membership if you don't want to keep it.

You can buy bags online, the shipping isn't too bad if you find a good vendor. Thankfully a big bag is pretty light.
I was able to find some in Menards. The employee found it in the roofing insulation area.
Apparently they don't carry much on hand, so if it's hard to find I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm really excited tho my jars are like halfway colonized. So I read from my instructions that spore prints won't work with there jars only syringes, is there a way around that or would I just have to do that part myself next time?

A decent size spore print can easily make ten syringes. Its a simple process that really only requires empty syringes, water , your print and a still air box.

Usually at the hardware store that I go to the perlite, verm and jars are all in the same isle. Its kinda funny. The verm and perlite literally touch each other on the shelf.

Dunking and not rolling performs a lot poorer. The mycelium doesn't naturally hold onto the water like it does with verm meaning you'll have to mist more and mist finer to get water droplets all over the cake and not just rolling down it.
Not rolling could also lead to pooling water at the foil which will bottom pin. Some of us like our pins on the top.
