How to tell if WBS is too dry

Hey guys last week i made some WBS quart jars and added a few agar wedges a few days later. i simmered the WBS for 20 min and strained them prior to PCing them.... its been about 3 days since i added the agar wedge and there is some growth but when i was just looking at 1 of the jars it looks like 1 of the wedges is starting to shrivel up? granted it could also just be the way i was looking at it or because it is fully covered in myc but nonetheless it made me think about my substrate and wonder if its too dry?
any tell-tale signs that the WBS is too dry? what do you all think? i will try to post pics of this later but wanted to feel out some opinions of the matter.

Pics.
A2G is slow as fuck. The myc will fuzz up on the agar before leaping off.

I tried doing a LI in a bag but got no growth so I opted for this I guess my LI was too fine and I shredded the myc?

How long has it been?
Fine LI will recover, did you wait for the jar you with water in it to cool?

your grains look fine but the thing leaping off your agar is looking bacterial.
why is your jar upside down?

For the bags or the jars it's been about 3 days with these jars and about 10 with the bags but nothing with the bags still..... and I did wait for them to cool. Do these jars look dry or ok?

The grains look fine, 10 day LI recovery is a long time. I'd probably start a new project.
I'd just wait it out. Where do you see bacteria space?

@spacechildo there upside down because I couldn't get the wedge to shake to the bottom and it'd how I'm holding it....you really think it's bacteria? It was done in aSAB....

Just wait it out. If it's bacteria you'll know soon enough when you have to shake. A2G is slow as fuck.

Does anyone have A rough timeliness for colonization? I was thinking about 2-3 weeks does that sound right? And then 10-14 days for a g2g transfer
