Anyone else ever seen something similar to this??

This is my recent grow. The first flush of these six cakes yeilded a little under one and one half ounces cracker rock hard dry. But this post is about the mycelium from one of the b+ cakes.
It's growing out onto the perlite which is normal and I've seen it happen before but the mushroom growing off it is different than the others from this flush/grow. It's much waxyer and bright orange. It bruised dark blue when touched (when harvesting others it was wounded).
The three b+ cakes from this grow did great potentcy wise but I'm thinking if I clone this particular mushroom I'll be glad I did. These six cakes(3 b+ and 3 Golden Teacher) could flush again but i'm using a small sgfc and I need the space for six treasure coast cakes I'm ready to birth.
So anyone else have a mushroom decide not to run with the pack as this one did with good genetic results?
This is the one I am talking about. These are some pictures of the first flush
Lastly since I'm posting, this is what I use as a desiccant chamber after drying in a food dehydrator ofcourse d ; Its simple and effective. First I cook Epsom salt in the oven on 350° for thirty minutes making the hydrous Epsom salt now anhydrous and in need off h2o. Then I put the salt in a container at the bottom and make shelfs out of tin foil with holes in them for air exchange. As I said it's simple yet effective.

Not sure if i understood correctly. But man, a MS syringe is always going to have different looking fruits (: I would take the largest fruit from your next flush if not this one and clone it. Get into agar, it opens you up to a new world of Mycology. Pretty easy to do and even more rewarding. Thousands of threads on it!
*Edit* Beautiful cakes though imo

I got a dehydrator for 30 bucks online. Cracker dry in an hour. If they are big. I started with fan for 24 hours and damp rid. It worked fine.

Lol sorry my bad I should have clarified. And yes I do agree with what you said about agar. I haven't grown in a few ...wow several years and I'm lazily getting back into it. My question is more about whether the fruits growing on the perlite will be genetically superior in anyway. The reason I would think they might be is because the mycelium that grew out onto the perlite on the second flush was obviously strong. To be honest the more I think about this one the more holes I'm finding in my original theory. And yes the fruits from ms are always different but this one was way different lol. Like the difference between indoor cultivation and outdoor cultivation different.

Does your dehydrator have a fan?? Mine doesn't and it takes about half a day to dry most fruits which seems too long. I was letting them sit out for a day over a box fan but like I said I've been lazy lately so I've just been throwing them in the dehydrator immediately.

Thanks brother, some of them I'd liked to have picked sooner but by the time I wake up or get home from work they have opened already. The first flush was probably 75% picked at the veil tearing and the rest sometime after. Besides the mess being rediculous they made for some good spore print caps.

I would clone that little one that grew off of the perlite.

Sorry for bad info. My very little fruits might dry in an hour. Some big ones take 12 or more. I just feel it out as it goes.

That's what I was thinking initially. It turned out to be a decent sized fruit and since those two had grown off the perlite they were seriously wet. I wouldn't call them water logged but....well yeah they were pretty much water logged d ; When I harvested them they dropped water everywhere. In hindsight I believe that's what caused them to look so different. One thing I've learned in this hobby is that fruits from the same strain can look dramatically different depending on where and how they were grown. Potentcy wise they were all winners so I'm going to clone one b+ and one Golden teacher. I'm out of agar right now so I'll just do tissue to grain for now.

That's what I'm thinking, what the hell kind of dehydrator is this? Even when I dry small mushrooms I'll let em sit in there for 24 hours. Maybe small ones are done in ~12 or so, but definitely not approaching anything close to an hour. Mine has a fan that works quite well and goes from 95-150+, but I keep it on the lowest temperature. I also pack it totally full which likely makes it take some time longer I guess.
