I doubt this guy has a lot of money. This neighborhood is awful. I don't leave the house much whatsoever.

I don't know how for one, and my family is a bunch of push-overs. Otherwise I would have sued McDonald's a long time ago, as I broke my tooth in half and it went through my lip whilst playing in their shit tier jungle gym. I would sue them now, because as a minor, I had no say, but as I said, I don't know shit about shit. I could tell you a lot of technical information, but when it comes to society and legality, pfft. Clueless.

I think the lighting is causing it to grow in multiple directions. I'm not giving it enough darkness either, as I'm a night-owl. I was thinking that once a week I should give a 24-hour darkness cycle, to make up for the darkness it's not receiving.

Light has nothing to do with what you're seeing there. Cubensis pin where they think is the most suitable climate for growth, not where the light is shining.

I really don't feel like it right now honestly, but what do you think about using green light-bulbs during the night cycle to observe growth? I hear it works with cannabis, so I figured it may work for mushies as well.

You're asking me if a green light would help.
I'm saying if you use light at all mushrooms like blue spectrum CFLs. If you want to use a green light then use a green light, do you want me to say no?
Cannabis is photosynhetic, meaning they directly derive energy from lights. Mushrooms are not. They're closer to mammals then humans. They use light for unknown reasons but mostly to know when it's night and day.
So whatever light you use it won't make a difference. I'm just telling you they prefer blue.

No, I'm not. I'm asking if the green light would allow me to view the mushroom growth at night without disturbing the dark cycle.

It's a light so no.
If you don't have a 12/12 cycle then don't even worry about it.

Confirmed fact or educated guess? Green spectrum doesn't ruin cannabis night-cycles - I don't see why it would ruin a mushroom night-cycle.

Quote:
the sunlight on cloudy days, 6000 K; in the shade 8000 K24. Most wild mushrooms grow in the shade.
between 480 and 460 nm and Fig. 6 suggests that we can expect 150 to 200 lumens per Watt in that waveband. Looking back at Fig. 5, we notice that chlorophyll a does not absorb those wavelengths, while chlorophyll b absorbs between 5 and 100 on the absorption coefficient scale. Since most mushrooms known to require light are found under trees, light that is not absorbed by the leaves is more able to reach the mushrooms. There is another factor influencing the light: shorter wavelengths are more efficiently scattered, so the blue light is scattered and re-scattered and moves easily through the leaves6 . Plants and fungi absorb mainly the blue-light spectrum because it provides a greater source of photon energy, independently of the purpose

All he did was say what I was saying...
Your mushrooms don't have a night cycle because you previously stated you don't pertain to one. A "Night" cycle means it's just that, a cycle, random periods of darkness don't count as night.

The only way I could give it a night cycle properly is the leave the room or go to sleep at like 6:30pm
