Could this change how we hydrate substrates indefinitely?

The video is above.
I am theorizing that this method of hydrating soil could be, very well implemented into our mushroom substrates. Some questions I have are weather or not the the myc will eat the super absorbent material of the diaper. Also curious if the diaper substrate will hold the perfect field capacity or will it be too moist for myc to thrive. He mentions in the video that the diaper addition makes the soil extremely fluffy and airy, perfect for the little aliens .
Let me know what you guys think! I am willing to give trial and error to this discovery, if it seems logical.

Hmm that's pretty interesting. I feel like this could potentially be useful in a casing soil to keep it fluffy and moist over long periods of time someone should try it

Shit is junk. Stamets mentions it in one of his books, so i tried it years ago as a casing. I used stuff from a hydro shop, not a diaper. Made a mess. Stopped mushrooms from growing and ones that did had a weird gel funk on them. If used in the sub i think it might invite contams.
