Your photography is awesome, man. I appreciate that you don't overdo the HDR.

Thanks, Geoff. I really like your photo a few posts ago, the one where your dog was sniffing the mushroom you were photographing. It reminds me of an old picture I took just when my dog stepped on the Xeromphalina I was taking a picture of. Your pic made me giggle a bit.

It's one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I took an impulse drive today for lack of anything better to do and ended up at the lake near my home. There's a dam there and all I had was my cell phone but here's the best I could do with it:

It's the default camera on a Samsung Galaxy S3, panoramic mode. The sharp light angles are nice there at dusk and dawn.

Damn, that's nice. Point and shoots barely have a purpose now. That's sad in a way, but it just means that they'll probably make a huge leap in technology soon. It's the only way to stay competent.

Crested Kinglet (Regulus calendula)

An old night time photo. I can't believe it showed anything other than a black screen, especially with the t3i.

Lampropeltis getula holbrooki

(Puccinia podophylli) on Mayapple (Podophyllum peltatum)

I love that macro shot. The others are great, especially the tree on the beach. I just really like good macro stuff.

How does one make a click-able (enlargeable) image, like what is the HTML tag?

Nice Dillo picture, was it not frightened of you at all?! I have never seen an alive one, but have seen many in Missouri who have bit the dust (RIP) and their shells that remain.

They're actually mostly blind, and stupid, fairly deaf. They spend most of their time with their nose in the ground. Their nose is their strongest sensory organ. If you step quietly, and slowly they may not even notice you. If done right, they won't notice you till inches before you strike. Pretty low on the food chain, but tasty and nutritious. They're also usually without disease, which is a plus. If undercooked, I've heard Salmonella is a risk
