seriously scary hallucinations on shrooms

Took 2.5 grams of golden teacher last night with my gf who took 2 grams. This is a little more than i take normally. Started out with some yoga while she drew. Eventually ended up in bed to cuddle. We were both really in our heads. She got really introspective and had an existential crisis basically. I on the other hand, kept getting vivid visions of humanities most ugly sides. Violence, deformities, hate, anger. Just everything you don't want to see about people. Absolutely nothing related to myself. But every time I closes my eyes I would see pike a decomposing head or a baby with a fucked up face. Really freaky. As soon as I'd open my eyes it'd be gone this which was nice. I also just felt like life itself was so hard. To control or change anything seemed so daunting and impossible like I had no power to influence anything.
we had taken the same shrooms (only a little less) one week earlier. I'm really curious how if this happens again might I influence myself out of this state.

On one of my heavy doses, around 10g, I kept getting these vivid images of a skeletal, decomposing body floating in a swamp. Then, out off nowhere, it would rip it's rib-cage out and it's guts would fly everywhere. Sound effects included! This replayed over and over in a loop. Until I got up or got distracted.
Didn't really bother me much, but it's relative :p

I had a trip similar to that once on 4 grams psilocybin but I thought it was awesome I remember I saw a lot of really disgusting mutant people like sewn together all rotting and stuff like this nasty patchwork of suffering humanoids. all writhing around calling out for help D:
I was listening to Cannibal Corpse at the time and I remember one line really stuck out to me from the song "Sumerged in Boiling Flesh" -TO STRUGGLE IS USELESS- I was like fuck yeah I've just gotta accept this evil shit its not gonna go away. I find that's the attitude I've gotta approach that sorta thing with because I can't just not think about that 24 hour news cycle type shit people suffering and dying starving and sick while tripping.
Seeing and thinking about that stuff can actually benefit you I think. Being aware of it but not letting it fuck with that positive mental attitude. Think of Siddartha being exposed to suffering sickness death

One trick I do is that I bow my head, close my eyes, and repeat "I'm sorry" until it stops, with the intent of love, and sometimes visualizing a shining cross as well. Someone on the shroomery taught me this, and for some reason it works. Try it out if you if you ever run into this problem again.

Whenever I see disgusting or scary things, I just, out loud, say "It's beautiful!" There's nothing that's ugly, or scary that you can see when tripping, but your thoughts can make it that way. Just controlled breathing and repeating "It's Beautiful" seems to get me through any scariness.

Sometimes the memories or ideas that get brought up or looped aren't exactly what you might picture, but they are there none the less. But as others have said there's beauty in everything, decomposition is an extremely important part of the world and we would be sitting in a sea of corpses if it wasn't for it. If you find it unsettling there are a few things to do, one is to realize the true nature of the images, that these are important and real things that propel life forward and you are disgusted by them by your evolutionary upbringing to protect yourself from the few but real dangers they provide, or to change the subject and not get caught in the loop, to forcefully think about something enjoyable because hey you are alive and can make choices like that. The second is easier said than done.
Shrooms don't just bring about amazing colors and images but a deeper understanding of life and mortality, it's all in how you frame it.

Shrooms show you some pretty messed up things, especially at extreme doses I had a vison one time of me killing me brother, then being burnt alive while pieces of broken glass and wood splinters tore me limb from limb (felt it in extreme detail) I've also felt my insides being torn out my asshole and literally being inside out while I gasped for air and died
However as bad as this sounds it's just mushrooms being mushrooms and as quickly as them come they will pass asking as you don't think about it. It's all part of the journey there is nothing bad about a trip that consists of these images (IMO) Just let them go past you

Well, you can just ignore what the Mushrooms are showing you, and think there's no reason you're seeing that and the Mushrooms have nothing of importance to say. Or, you can take what They're showing you seriously.
I would recommend becoming a vegetarian. In fact, the lacto/ovo vegetarian diet is considered the most healthy (ie., better than meat.)
The saying "you are what you eat" also applies. You are eating what that slaughtered animal went through went it died. All the panicked and extreme pain hormones and chemicals that it pumped out -- you're taking into yourself. So, basically, you're putting yourself very close to feeling what that creature felt, saw, and heard when it died.
