Question about drying via a dehydrator

So I had my batch drying in a dehydrator and I totally forgot about it. It was dryong at 98 degrees and was in the dehydrator for about 5 or 6 days.
do you think that is long enough for them to lose potency?
has this happened to anyone else?

5 or 6 days?! Hahaha, that's a long time to not remember them!
The only way to know for sure would be to eat them. I'd say dry is dry, especially if you have a dehydrator that's not see through. Try some and let us know.

Sounds like it's time for a science experiment!

I've done this before and there was no drop in potency. But yeah... You probably have to try it to know.

Well what happens is that the large fruits take 2-3 days to full dry and the small ones about a day.
I let the large ones dry for the 3 days and then forgot about them for 2 days and during that whole period, the other fruits were in there the whole time.
so I technically only forgot them for 2 days or so but yeah the smaller fruits ended up drying for much longer than they needed.
so you guys think im alright? I know I know, theres only 1 way to tell for sure. Its just I don't plan to consume any from this batch for probably 6+ months

I dry mine at 135 degrees no noticeable drop in potency try uping your temp for faster drying and so you don't forget I usually dry 3 or 4 trays filled in about 12-18 hours.

My dehydrator runs between 140 and 155 depending on which setting i use. Takes all day but turns out wonderful.
