Growing woodlovers in landscaped colored mulch?
    #19139878 - 11/15/13 07:28 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Theoretically, what if some p.azur or p.cyan myc is buried in a cool shady landscaped area near a house. The mulch is colored & the dye is stated to be non-toxic.

Has anyone tried this with bulk commercial mulch next to his or her house?
For convenience sake it's something I've wondered about for a while.

i would also like to know about this. i asked a local tree removal company if i could get just hardwood chips. they said i had to accept whatever was given. i dont have a woodchipper and they are expensive for me since i work in food service. cant rent one either still expensive. so my only other option is buying wooden dowels or mulch i think.

Not sure what your budget is. However on craigslist you can find wood chippers that will chip 2-3" branches for 100-300 bucks depending on brand. I have one for my compost bin out in the greenhouse.Take care!:mushroom2:
