Black and Tan Steak.
    #2127003 - 11/21/03 12:02 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

Well actually I made Black and Tans AND Steak.

3lb Prime Angus top sirloin steak to be exact, with baked potato and a salad.

Only got a before pic and no after pic here because them black and tans were SOooo good and I was WAY too hungry to think about taking pics after this monster came off the grill. Lets just say that it turned out great..
Thick steaks take longer to cook inside so you can get some nice hash marks on the outer crust from the grill. Only thing missing was some broccoli but hey, who needs veggies any way.

Black and Tans are like Beer Milkshakes to me. Thick and smooth and the mix of Guinness Drought and Bass Ale go great together..

First, fill your glass 1/2 full with Bass Ale. Then get Guinnes Drought (only in the widget can) and a spoon ready. Turn the spoon up-side-down,,,, Or is it bottom-side-up??? N E Way. Slowly pour the Guinnes over the back of the spoon and into the glass. This will keep it from falling too fast and mixing with the Bass.

What you have when your done is both Black & Tan...

Enjoy

you sure that's USDA prime?

looks select, or choice maybe. Hard to tell from the picture though.

And dayam, how much did that cost prime? prime is so fucking expensive right now. Even fine dining establishments are having a hard time carrying it.

Its Prime Angus Beef...

We have been getting this stuff from our wharehouse ALOT lately.

Because of the strike, the warehouse is full of stuff they cant get rid of. Blue Fin Tuna loins, Fresh Shrimp, Top quality beef. They have been sending this stuff to us with our normal order and its been great. The store dont get charged for it and we get some good eats.

Right now we are selling through 6 cases of this stuff for $4.99lb.

Im gona buy myself a case direct from the warehoue. It will come with 6 to 8 top butts (sirloin). Ill grind three of them for hamburgers, Ill shave one on the slicer for roast beef samiches and cut the others into steaks, some thin, some thick. Maybe a roast too?

Its good to be the butcher. My last score.

Prime or not, that is a beautiful steak!  My mouth is watering.. it's time for me to go and get some real food instead of trying to fill up on pictures :lipsrsealed:  Too bad ya got no after shot though, I bet those grillmarks were fatty :stoned:
