Experience of Hindu Deities
    #21253962 - 02/10/15 04:03 PM (9 years, 3 months ago)

Has anyone had contact with a Hindu Deity? I used Ganesha's mantra Om Gam Ganapatayay Namaha for about six hours while piddling around on the internet and began to feel his golden light in my aura. When I went to get coffee, at the time a bad habit I wanted to break, his energy flowed through my hands into the coffee maker, breaking it.

I chanted hare Krishna to a Krishna Das track for about 3 hours on a drive back from a meditation retreat and whenever I stopped moving in the car like at a toll booth I felt this blue energy lifting me out of the top of my head, and when i got home I had nice visuals and a sense of wonderful playful bliss.

I seek enlightenment through mantra and am wondering what experiences you all have had and surely if psychedelics can help us connect to these beings, I'd like to hear about it!

I have had visions of Hindu deities while stoned/tripping but nothing really came of them, I never developed any long standing relationships like I have with Jesus and Mary.

I chant to Beelzebub till his black aura consumes my heart and I become dispassionate and my freedom overfloweth with indifference while I'm enveloped in his black lotus as he sits in my heart

One time while stoned in college I chanted the Hare Krishna mantra and immediately my third eye was literally pried open,
it was kind of horrifying so I stopped chanting! It was so very very intense!

Hare Krishna hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare! Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!

I once had a dream where I witnessed Ganesha (blue skin tone). What I found odd was that I had no past in studying traditional Hindu mysticism. Life has become one beautifully strange ride ever since that night.

I wrote in another post:
Quote:

The body was not two dimensional, for it indeed had depth to it. The figure itself looked as if the texture was somewhere between animation, similar to Toy Story, and that of our, for lack of a better word, material world. The most that I can remember from the dream is seeing him/it, the light which was radiating from beneath his/it's feet, and possibly (maybe my imagination) a circular ring made of flowing purples, pinks, golds, and whites from behind him - almost like a backdrop except finitely disk shaped yet with fluid motion. He/it merely stood there as if saying, "Here I am. Observe, don't question, and take this image to heart".

That was my experience. Been exploring Hindu texts ever since.

I feel a great resonance with Hinduism, was meditating with my group and teacher today and saw Shivas snake and its hissing was the pure prana energy flowing .

The Goddess Sri Devi reached me at a hard time and 30 years later I am still a devotee.

Love to hear a bit more about your experiences with mantra's, especially any paranormal ones that don't involve drugs but have invoked what I'd call pseudopsychedelic state. Also how does one use mantra's and what hindu text's would you suggest for someone looking to experiment with them, i got given a few books after donating to a travelling hindi awhile back. he was telling me how he is a devotee of Krishna and gave me a small paperback copy of Śrī Īśopaniṣad, i haven't read this yet but your post's have peaked my curiosity on there effectiveness for producing altered states. :interesting:

Kali came to me during a suicide attempt. Overtook my body, made my eyes blood red (sober).

She said "you will not take this!" and gave this intense energy of love that I never understood Kali capable of. I always thought she was bad in a way (due to ignorance, have since learned just a tad bit about her being a projection of Durga).

I'm so glad I have the shroomery and my account back. You are all so wonderful.

Om Namah Shivayah

Well, I recommend the Bhagavad Gita I suppose, but the most precious text I have read is Autobiography of a Yogi :psychsplit:

When I went to bed last night I had pink light pulsing at me perhaps from Lakshmi, I do her mantra each day but didn't last night due to being tired, but will catch up with it today my day off!
To do a mantra I recommend getting mala beads of 108 count, and chanting a full round of them, to do at least 108 a day, more if one feels compelled to. They can be said rather fast if one wishes. I am not clairvoyant yet per se so I can't be qualified in stating which one would be best for you. I find om namah shivaya is a good choice for enlightenment though!

I chanted Om namah shivaya for a few hours a couple days ago, I saw visions of celestial architecture and whatnot, futuristic type cities aligned with the stars. Not sure when I saw this, not so much while I was chanting, but it was the residue of the mantra.

Om namah shivaya!

I thought it was mighty interesting the time I got one of my more intelligent friends to try blasting off with DMT.  He's a devout atheist and takes it rather seriously.  I found it funny that in the midst of that experience he saw Ganesh.  I've always wondered why.

I do my mantras each day, or if I miss a day do them two-fold the day after, I noticed a ton of light and energy today coming in to me, standing on my head has subtly calibrated some sort of spiritual "gland" in my head, not  necessarily the pineal, it feels like its at the top of my forehead. I usually don't notice it though.

Feels rudimentary to associate a primitive gland from evolution with our spirtual development to me.

How many people seek authentic spirtuality without the baggage of superstition and deceit.
