tut tut... so young and yet so cynical.
fuck it, its my thread ill derail it as much as i want... for one i told you not to respond with BS- 2 why wouldn't you show some proof: oh wait because you dont have any.... this" well known way of colonizing feilds" has never been documented to work. i gave you a zero please give me one too. fuck head. now im off to pour my morning coffee sticky the thread? how bout lock it
Just because someone hasn't spent millions of dollars to analyze cow fields for existing mycelial networks and then check the intestines of 100's of cows for previous spores ingestion ad then document the results as the cows are shitting to prove that is where the shrooms came from does not invalidate the findings. It just makes them anecdotal. It doesn't stop you being a fuckhead either apparently.

mustangbob3 said: im done i nothing more to add! this thread has wore me out, got sunburn maybe sunstroke! will leave this thread to you guys! was an interesting read and i learnt a few things so and a big thanks bw and all contributors, just sorry it had to end on a bad note but such is life.
my last words will be 'circadian rhythm' dont cut it for an explanation unless you can agree results are entrainable by light ( previous outlined experiments) and prove they have a 24h cycle and there are key points to note i.e more growth at night
look up circadian rhythm yourself! to place this as a blanket statement about effect or need of light for mushrooms, however appropriate for the needs of noobs, is just unfounded and a gross misunderstanding of mushroom functions.
as stated before by someone here if you do timelapse videos you will see there is no defined points of growth regarding time of day(night and day) growth is controlled by influx of water caused by osmosis and mannitols create this pressure drawing water and no link between light and mannitol levels has been established or proved as yet!

I'm very interested to try out some of these newer (to me) ideas about how mushrooms grow. Darkness and very low light levels during fruiting being #1 on the list.
You've been awesome on this thread mushroombob, I would rate you again if I could.
