Acasia Confusia Burned
    #21263587 - 02/12/15 12:21 PM (9 years, 3 months ago)

Well SWIM cooked for the first time and ended up burning some acasia confusia. That was yesterday and the house still smells like burnt a.c. Anyone know how to get rid of this smell?

also, can i evaporate the naphtha outside in winter? or is a basement with 1 window open recommended instead?

I fell asleep with a brew on the stove once and it boiled down to a crispy tar and the house smelled of the burnt concoction for a long time. Like 3-4 days later and the smell could still be noticed by people who didn't know what it was. The smell will especially linger in the wood of cabinets or w/e around your kitchen. I'd open up all the cabinets, windows, run a fan, wipe down every surface with cleaner and even then it will take time.

The naphtha won't evaporate well in freezing temperatures. Probably better off in a basement with an open window + a fan blowing the fumes outside.
