I think the big appeal of trees is that you can walk and get lost in them. You look up and see nothing but the wild. It's like a labyrinth. Everything you see looks the same almost but it's all different, and the point of origin is easily forgotten.

There's just so much more to look at. I mean, I've camped in the New Mexico desert as well, and there's cool shit there, too. Buzzards flying ten feet off the ground and then *whoosh* out over a steep drop off of 50 - 100 feet. Over and over.
The stars, the snakes at night when you're hiking. The ants and bugs that find everything instantly that's edible.
And the trees and resulting beetles (of forests) and life can also be irritating as well. A variety is good. The West Coast of the USA has a good variety. Other places do as well, but not like the West Coast.
That's why $$$.

Yeah the west is fucking beautiful. I'm just not used to it's people completely.
I like people in Colorado a lot, but Idk the west all together just seems snobbier. It's weird. It's like they're more accepting of weird people and different life styles... But come off like they're better than you. Especially California.
It's along the coast mostly. Sorry for saying all of the west. California. Washington. Oregon. Parts of Colorado. I guess it's the liberal states... lol. Didn't really put that together before.

Beautiful! Thanks for showing some beauty of another country. Us Americans get carried away sometimes. I need to check Canada out for sure!

All those are pics of when I was on some roadtrips in the area
I don't have many photos of our urban areas and such. I live in a pretty remote part of Canada

for example though, this is my "city" (75,000 people give or take I think)
This shot is of the "bowl" of the city. The downtown is in the bowl. Cutbanks all around. Must have been a lake thousands of years ago. Two major rivers run through the middle of the bowl area. But there are major areas outside the bowl. The city is very spread out

No shit America is huge. You definitely haven’t seen enough of America to say that either
Still fucking stupid to say America is better than Canada, a much larger country with a much smaller population, for rural areas.
Oh and Canadians are actually nice.
What can you grow in Canada that you can't in America? Agriculture is the bread of rural life - Canada doesn't have anywhere near the possibilities as America when it comes to agriculture.

Have you been through Kansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, or Indiana? I don't know how they could be any better than Idaho.
I've only flown over the Midwest, but the prospect of experiencing it frightens me hahah
Atleast there's uhh, rivers. And creeks. Water will always be nice to look at no matter where
Lol... Those flat states I mentioned are the least beautiful in my books. I like Indiana because it's where my roots are. But it's still ugly.
And elax. They fucking suck. I've slept outside in all of them and slowly had to get tortured by all the ugliness. Every morning. "Fuck. I get to look at nothing today and meet the most uninteresting people ever."
Yeah the Ohio River Valley is cool. But get 2 miles away from it and it sucks again. Ohio is in the list of boring states too. I forgot that one...
Appalachian Ohio is beautiful. Like West Virginia with hills rather than mountains. The rest of Ohio outside of the forests... well that would take some getting used to. It used to be really pretty swamps and man drained it out for agriculture, giving us completely new ecosystem.
I love Ohio still. It's home. But it's not one of the best states for scenery. Instead I say it's one of the best states for honesty, and after just getting back from Florida, the people here are way nicer than most places.

I always describe Indiana as a wannabe Ohio. Or a knock-off brand of Ohio. It is certainly better than Kansas, Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, etc. though.
Ohio is the best of the midwest as far as I'm concerned. Overall the midwest kinda sucks, and like I said in the other post, it's the Appalachian Ohio that really makes it better. Ohio is the least midwest of the midwest, basically.

You hit the nail on the fucking head though dude. That's why I prefer the people of Ohio and exactly what I mean when I say they're more genuine, honest, down-to-Earth people than any of the hipsters of Seattle.
