Favorite breed of dog?
    #21257672 - 02/11/15 09:43 AM (9 years, 3 months ago)

I love dogs!  They are the sweetest and cutest and cuddliest things ever I plan on owning one by next year actually.  Ever since I was a kid I thought Huskies were the most beautiful and fun and fluffy dogs.  I just want one so badly!!!!  What is your favorite breed/mix of dog?

Huskies are very beautiful dogs

I love my Lhasa Apso though she's the friendliest most adorable pup you'd ever meet

I like huskies, but they shed so bad. I personally love my wife's Yorkie, he's a little hunter and is the friendliest dog you'll ever meet. I do like hunting dogs of all sorts.

Don't really have one. As long as it's not a yippy ankle biter with a smooshed face, I like it.

Labs are awesome.  I like little mutt dogs like corgi/heeler mixes and stuff, especially for their size and intelligence.  I have a pitbull and she's an awesome dog with people but we've had some trouble socializing her with other dogs, especially females, but she loves our cat.  I think she'd be OK with some work on integrating another dog into her life.  I would certainly take in another pitbull in the future but it would have to be with a lot more emphasis on socialization at a very early stage in its development.

Huskys will break your heart. They are the only dog that can join a pack of wolves. They run away like crazy. Huskys don't even like people. It is cool how a lot of them can say "I love you" though. My favorites are Irish wolfehounds, great Danes, and labs.

Huskies are also my favorite. Samoyeds are a close second.

It's not that they don't like people they just love independence.  Realistically I think I will get a Labrador retriever

I used to have a Chow Chow named Sasha she died of cancer a few years back

Rather tempermental at times but quite a friendly dog mostly

I had neighbors in college that had some kind of husky pup that grew really fast and was eventually pulling the guy around campus and town on a skateboard with a harness.  It was brilliant, the dog seemed to love it.  I really admired that he was able to give the dog what it seemed to need and want in pulling him around like that while also being able to live with it in a relatively confined space like an apartment.

I love those giant bull mastiffs too but I can just imagine, they probably eat you out of house and home to be so big.

Favourite breeds?

Are there ones that don't puke, shit, piss, bark and eat my money?

If so that's my favourite dog.

Haha, that's why I always tell people who don't want to fuck with that, to go find a bit more mature dog from a rescue facility.  There are a lot of readily housetrained dogs that just want to chill that understand how to function in a household.  I think almost all breeds can really be great if raised appropriately.  I mean, unless you're expressly looking for something to serve a purpose.. like a Pyrenees to protect goats and sheep or whatever, that's different than just having a house pet.
