Not growing after first flush

I'm a total noob when it comes to growing mushrooms. I bought two kits and both were growing fine. I harvested them both and put them back where they're supposed to be. One of the boxes started pinning up in about 24h, where as the other box still hasn't shown any sign of life since i harvested, which is about nine days ago. I'm simply wondering if anyone has any advice on what to do with the box. I'm thinking of flipping the mycelium upsidedown. Is this a good idea?
All that black stuff are spores, as i was a bit late to pick them.
So yeah, any advice is much appreciated.

I'd consider soaking your substrate again for at least 12 hours.

I'm still on my first flush honestly, so I couldn't tell you how long it takes for a 2nd flush to appear. I would guess you're just going to have to play the waiting game. Can you take a better picture of the side of the kit?

Sure, here's the side and bottom of the kit.

The bottom looks kinda messy, haven't checked it out before.. Is this bad?

It looks pretty stressed out. The yellowing is metabolites that help the stressed mycelium or can be an indicator of contamination. Most likely it was just from the dunk. But where/how is your fae being provided?

This is the first time i'm hearing fae. I googled but i'm still quite unsure of what it means. I know it stands for fresh air exchange, but i have no idea on how or what to do. Should i just let a fan blow on the kit for a while, while not in the bag? The bag has a couple of small holes in it to provide some fresh air.

FAE is constant intake of fresh air into your fruiting chamber.
those kits suck mostly because they come in a choke bag that gives 0 fae. you should cut some slits in the bag or at least open up the top.

Is it showing any signs of recovery? White fuzzy myc appearing on previously harvested areas?

My other kit seems to be working just fine. Harvested the second flush yesterday. Like i said, there are some holes in the bag that provide some fae, but you're saying it's too little?
Would it help if i pointed a fan at the bag, or do i "need" to make some cuts in the bag?
EDIT: There are 12 holes in the bag, 8 at the top and 4 in the middle of the bag. Pretty small holes.

Nope, and nope, doesn't look fuzzy at all to me.

you picked your second flush....when you harvest you only pick those that are ready and aborts but leave the pins, those are your next flush, now you must wait for a few scragglers

Hm, is that so.. i was sure you were supposed to pick it all, even the smallest pins.. but you're saying i should leave them?
What is an abort, and what is a scraggler? :P

Hmmm, never seen that ugly looking of a sub. If that was mine and it looked like that, it would have been in the landfill by now lol

But for it to be showing no signs of recovery or growth after harvest of first flush 10 days ago and the way that sub looks, tells me something is very wrong imo.
