I use to use mt.gox and another service, but that was a long time ago.
All of the ways seem to either need a bank account info or charges fees like 20%.
This shit use to be easy, why the fuck do I have to jump through all of these hoops to get bitcoins ?

Because people want bitcoins so other people buy them to make money and the goverment taxes them making it cost more to purchase them. Use localbitcoins.com.

Seconded on the localbitcoins.com thing. I was sketched out at first about it, but I used it today and it went very smoothly.
I found a seller who was selling them for about $10 more than the current exchange rate, which isn't all that bad. Used the cash deposit method. Went to bank, deposited cash, didn't have to show ID or anything. Came back home and took a picture of the deposit receipt as instructed and sent it to the seller, and my bitcoins were released from escrow to me within minutes.
Now my bitcoins are all spent and I should have some tasty goodies coming in the mail next week.

I don't have a bank of america anywhere near me and all of the offers are really steep in fees, like 40$ or more.
It seems impossible to get without giving up your info or paying high fees. Searching online I can't find really any way to buy them without one of these things being an issue.
How about signing up for coinbase and washing them afterwards, which still seems kind of sketchy.
Bitcoins should be made much easier to obtain.

Bank of America is not the only bank that I've seen vendors use on localbitcoins. I've also seen Wells Fargo, CitiBank, and I am sure there are others. You just have to look around.
Wait for a day when the value of bitcoins are low and buy then. It kind of offsets the fees. They suck, but you can find some with reasonable fees. Bitcoins were like $225/each when I bought them, and I ended up paying $238/each for them through localbitcoins. $13 extra really isn't all that bad. That isn't to say that there aren't sellers that do charge high ass fees, because there are, but if you're patient and scout around on there, you CAN find a reasonable deal.
Localbitcoins is best because it is totally anonymous. You don't have to show ID at the bank and you don't have to give out your real information to the sellers.
Don't use CoinBase. I tried and they declined my purchase saying that it was "too high risk". Plus they get direct access to your bank account. You have to log in to your account through their site. Do you really want them having access to that?
Dude, just go with localbitcoins. I promise you it isn't as bad as it seems. I was skeptical at first too but once I used it I was like wow, that was easy as fuck. And so glad I did it that way, because I didn't have to go through the hassle of tumbling them.

only trade with high rep people. WEB slicer DannyHamilton
etc are good people
moneypak or vanilla reload is probably the easiest way to trade.
if you want $20 btc (all I have), I'll take $20 cash in mail or a $20 vanilla

Thanks everyone.
I'll keep looking on localbitcoins, bitcointalk looks promising too w/ lots of info. Before I used moneygram on localbitcoin, it seems
most of those vendors charge quite a bit more + moneygram transfer fees on top of that.
I think going to a local bank and making a deposit seems like the cheapest and easiest way on localbitcoins, around $20 above the normal bitcoin
price seems kind of common, though I see a lot of "web money" vendors selling for close to market value, I don't know much about that,
probably need to be identified and I don't think they allow services in america.
I really wish bitcoins were much easier to obtain without fees, hopefully that happens in the near future but I doubt it.

Whats wrong with using one of the exchanges like BTCe or Bitstamp... you can fund your account on the chosen exchange from your bank account or from PayPal or various other options...
Are the fees too high or something?

It's a pain in the ass compared to just going to a store and being able to buy something, but it's not hard. Idk why everyone says that.
I've traded moneypak for btc on bitcointalk numerous times. Lately though, I've been using bitquick.co
Deposit money. Send pic of deposit receipt Receive bitcoins.

Hmm, does bitquick.co not offer the option to deposit cash into any banks around you?
