White Hard Shelf like Mushroom

Habitat: Where does it grow? I found this mushroom while hiking in the forest around St. Mary's Lake in Maryland yesterday. It is a hardwood area. It was growing on a fallen oak tree. There were many others all around the lake. The hike is 7.5 miles long.
Gills: No gills just small pores pores on the underneath. The entire mushroom is a white creamy color top and bottom.
Stem: I don't see a stem. It was attached to the tree in the middle of the shell shape. Though the entire length was touching the tree.
Cap: Cap is white/creamy and looks like growth rings. Not smooth but just a little wavy. Hard not slimy, light weight. About 2.5 inches from side to side and about 1/4 to 1/2 thick where it attached to tree and thins out to the end. the top is level and the pore side angles up to meet the top (where it thins out). It is kinda shell shaped.
Spore print color: Don't notice any spores. Very important!
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any. No bruising.
Other information: I don't smell anything. Not even a mushroom smell. Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Trametes sp.
Either T.gibbosa, or T.elegans I am not sure what the distinguishing features of the two may be.

Mrcloudy, thank you for your help. Doing a quick picture hunt on bing, the pictures for Trametes elegans looks more like what I have than the other species you mentioned. Is there a identification key somewhere online that I can use in the future to help narrow down the possibilites?
I just found this website http://www.wisconsinmushrooms.com/Trametespubescens.html . The T. pubescens species also looks similiar. I need to figure out how to distinguish between species.

Looking at its size again makes T.pubescens a possibility, I did not realize it was so small the first time. Your camera takes pretty decent photos.

Not bad for a phone camera. I am hoping I get another chance to hike the lake this weekend. I'm going to inspect the others a little more thoroughly.
