How do you win? I haven't declared a winner yet...
However, I need to add my opinion when I say that I agree with asd159263. I think the majority of "americans" would kill for those three things...
My dream is to move somewhere besides the united states...

To become disgustingly wealthy, control others through fear, and take over the world.
Money, Power, Greed.

Money will usally rule...with $$$ you can have power..
The hard part of that "trio" is respect...Respect is hard to earn and even harder to keep while pursuing the other two(Money & Power)
I just said I win because I had the 3 things asd159263 mentioned that is all

I'd say it depends on the american dream from whose perspective?
For the slave farmer in china? The american dream is to have clothes, a job, and have the opportunity to eat at a mcdonalds or something every couple months.
For the politician? Money, more money, power, more power, and MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAQ!

For me as an american, my dream is to work strictly for myself as a farmer. To own beautiful property to pass on to my kids (cause, you know, land is the only thing truly worth anything). And to one day construct my own home with my own hands, maybe with some help from my friends.

-------------------- Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

To get rid of the Patriot act, and Total Information Awarness would be a good start. We'd at least be back where we started 200+ years ago...
